The big issue with full timing is the weight of your rig. You will run out of weight before you run out of storage space!! However I agree with 'back2nature', this is now your home and you want to have nice things in it, just be smart about it. We enjoy the full time lifestyle and know you will...
Just use a small putty knofe and lift off the screen (three small tabs), put in a plastic "snake" , remove, and you should be all set. when replacing the screen make sure all three tabs line up before pushing it into place.

Thanks for the responce. Yes, we can get alot of information on rv parks and have been workcamping for 4 years now (private and govt), however this is the first time I had seen anything about a rod and gun club offering a workamp position.
have a good new year.

Hello,
We were reading workamping and noticed an ad for the Los Altos Rod and Gun Club in CA. Usually we can get information about rv parks, but wondering if anyone has workamped at this rod and gun club? If so we would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

Concerning toyloc---2psnapod2---when pulling out the cable you should hear some staggered clicking followed by just the cable coming out and then a short sound of clicking again. During the clicking sound is when you should be able to release and the cable will retrack--it will not retrack when...
Sorry to hear you are having problems. We have a BH 3670 and all of our slides (except the bedroom) can be adjusted. There is a lippert manual that will walk you through the process--quite simple---just remember a small adjustment is all that is needed, do not overadjust.

You will be happy with your rig, just sorry you are having some water issues. This is a great place to get help from some great people. Were you actually traveling when you noticed the water or in a campground? Was the water in the basement or in the belly area? Were you hooked to shore water or...
We have line x and are very happy with it. One thing you may consider that I saw on a truck that I thought was a good idea (saw it after we had ours done). They took out the fifth wheel rails and had them sprayed separately and then reinstalled--great looking set up

You will enjoy your new purchase and the HL organization is tops for customer service. Not sure if you are in a hurry, but you may want to consider going to an rv show in your area and chatting with sales, especially if they have a floor/display model you like.

Anyone considering full timing--will be surprised on how little money they need to have this life style. Insurance and fuel are your largest expense.

We have a 2010 BH and I looked in the owners manual to see how to do this. It stated that there were several "pins" in the molding and to gently pry it off to get at the holding screws---I was concerned that it might crack so have not tried it yet. However, someone said that the later models did...
Re: 5th Wheel Hitch Overhang Fiberglas Delamination
It sounds like you have a frame issue, photos would be a great help. Also, if you are only talking about the sagging of the fiberglass, then yes you can put srews up into the frame and cinch that up---I have seen a a few that did some of that...
All of the above suggestions should work for you. In addition, sometime when you have the belly pans off, right where the cable goes into the valve is a small piston type valve---put a drop or two of some type of lubricant--silicone, grease, light oil, etc--this should take care of the problem.

Hope htis helps, not sure if your leak is on the far side of the slide or next to the coach, however here are a few places to look. On the side of the slide near the top is a piece of molding, sometimes water can get inside that molding and "run" toward the rubber molding and then underneath it...
We also had the issue with the check valve--found ours when we did a winterization and filled the water heater becuase the check valve was faulty. Concerning these plastic check valves--you also have one on your water inlet--this one was always leaking on our unit (BH 3670). I purchased several...
We have been F/T going on 4 years--you will enjoy it and meet VERY nice people. Let us know if we can help in any way and you move forward with your dream.

We have also volunteered in several Fed. locations including the National Park system. One area you really need to ask a lot of questions is about fitting into the site they have for you. Sometimes they are a bit small for BH, but most times a little creativity and you will fit---we have NEVER...
We havea BH 3670 and also had problems with it---took it to Elkhart and they did an outstanding job---not sure how to direct you to another post I had on the work and customer service, but it was great---you can try to search the post on Thank You or customer service--it tells a little more...
By using hot hot water before the bugs actually dry and stain, all will come off, bugs, stain, parts, etc. Again, the trick I learned was to do ity right after you get set up, not the next day as they will have already dried and stained your rig

Here are two ideas I have learned from others: 1. After you pull into your site, and before you open that first beer, get a bucket of hot, hot water and sponge the bugs off the cap--they will come right off. 2. You can buy a roll of "road wrap" from CW--it is the same material they use when...
I also have Freestar, never heard of them before purchasing the BH. We have had good luck with them, run at 107--110#, check them everday. Currently they have been on the rv for 3.5 years.

We made the trip this past summer---went up the "eastern route" and had no issues with roads--a few frost heaves, but take your time and you should have no issues. We thought traveling so far, we might just stay a whlie, so we have stored the rv for the winter and currently continueing to...
Depending on your age of the unit, you can call Sea-Land and they will send you a gasket kit---about a 30 min job to replace. When you get them on the phone, ask for a manuel and it will state that you are to let the peddle "snap" back to ensure a good seal.

currently in Kenai, ak
We also had several pproblems to deal with when our unit was new. However as I chat with other owners they all seem to have issues. One common thread I hear is that after about 1-11/2 years the probalems are all resolved and minimal issues after that.

You will love the BH
Hi everyone,
I have been thinking about redoing some of the plumbing in the BH 3670. I know there have been some previous post on this subject and planning to take quite a lot of the advice from them. All of the work will be completed with PEX, but wondering the pros/cons on the different type...
It was nice of you to call your dealer, however I will ALWAYS advise someone to call HL---they are the best customer service organization and will do whatever it takes to get you going again.

Thanks Dan,
Appreciate your quick responce and your advice about replacing with brass. I have replaced a few of my fittings with brass already, whenever one starts to leak, so will add the watr heater one to the list. Appreciate you having the "links", helped a lot.
Let me know when I can return...
Hi everyone,
We are planning to winter in AK (drove 5000 miles, might just stay a while). So we wanted to winterize the BH 3670 and had a few problems. Fisrt the by pass valve would not close properly and permitted anti freeze to get in the water heater. I replaced the valve tried again and...
We also had a leak in this area--I thought it was coming from the roof, however with several attempts with the water hose I think?? I found it. The water comes down the side, over the horizonal molding and "rolls" up into the small horizonal molding on the bottom which does have the vinal...
