Yes, you should cross the chains. If they are not long enough then get longer ones or lengthen the ones you have. Years ago working for a trucking company I saw rear trailers of a two trailer combination come in riding on the crossed safety chains. The crossed chains work as a basket to catch...
There are several models of the Fantastic Fan, the top of the line is model 7350 which has the reverse air flow as well as rain and humidity controls. Look on Amazon for Fantastic Fan and you can find several models each with varying degrees of upgrades.
Here is the link to the manual http://manuals.heartlandowners.org/manuals/Interior/Countertops/LG%20Hausys/LG%20Countertop%20Care.pdf
Just mild soapy water is all that is necessary.
The upgrade is a real improvement over spring shackle suspension. The disk brakes are even better, there is no comparison to the braking with the disk brakes over electric brakes it is that much better. If you are considering getting the updates installed you should get a hold of Morryde right...
One other thing can indicate the truck is in regen. On my Chevy when it is in regen the smell is very noticeable. I don't know if Fords and Dodge's are the same but you have no trouble telling when it is in regen especially if you pull into a building.
The compressor is pumping air in lbs per square inch, PSI. It would make no difference whether the tire had weight on it or not the PSI would still be the same and the amount of energy expended by the compressor would be the same.
With the Amazon Fire Stick I used my air card. I have quite a bit of data available and the speed seemed to be more than adequate. It would not be something to used for hours and hours on an air card but it gives us another option for movies, tv shows and games if we did gaming. It also...
I have had a similar problem and had one skirt replaced at the rally this year and requested they put a brace in the middle to help keep it from flapping so much. So far it looks like this will help keep it from cracking the new skirt. I had noticed when travelling those skirts flap a lot so...
Re: Question?
I don't know if all three AC's are on one leg, they may not be. I do not have a Cylcone with three AC's. The OP stated he could not run all three AC's at once so I was just saying that it is possible to run three with the available 100 amps he would just have to figure out how...
Re: Question?
I believe you can run all three like an earlier poster said. 50 amp service on an RV is actually two 50 amp lines for a total of 100 amps. Each leg of 50 goes into separate bars in your main box. Just rewire one air conditioner to pull off of the opposite bar that the other two...
I also had a great experience with RV Lock. I was hoping they would be at the rally and I could pick up a lock set there but they were not able to attend. When we got home I ordered online and used Amazon to complete the payment. I received the unit in about three days and it decided to...
The Sailuns are about an inch and a half to two inches taller and on my Bighorn I can not use the X chocks there is not quite enough room. The tire shop should replace the valve stems when they mount the tires, Trailer Tires & Wheels did when they mounted mine. I am very happy with the 637's...
I would not hesitate to use that diesel. If you are concerned about additive deterioration then just blend it in with some fresh diesel when you use it. I store diesel in tanks here and will have it sometimes for a year or more without issue.
If you take US 20, take it to Indiana 13 south at Middlebury to Indiana 4 west to Blackport Dr south and it will bring you out almost at the entrance gate to the Fairgrounds. This will miss the construction at 15 north of Goshen.
If you are going to upgrade I would suggest something like these: http://www.trailertiresandwheels.com/product/RS2358516G I just put them on my Bighorn and they are twice the tire that the towmax or marathon's are. They will be doing a tire special at the rally if you are attending or they...
Re: Help! My lights stopped working and on cross country tour with kids!!
I think you are on the right track. Try spraying some WD 40 or similar product into the sockets and try that. It cleans and increases electrical conductivity. It could be something more serious but a large percentage...
I believe the difference, according to the people who installed mine, is that the 637 was originally a LT tire which carried the higher capacity rating. They have rebranded them as ST tires with the lower capacity rating, same tire just rebranded for trailer use which gets rid of some of the...
I just replaced all five of my tires with these http://www.trailertiresandwheels.com/product/RS2358516G and am quite happy with them. I had the 235 80 R 16's and the 235 85R 16's fit just fine. They are about 1-1/2" taller overall but there was still room. The rim rating should be on the...
Jim,
I was at Trailer Tires & Wheels today and asked about the Rally specials. They said they thought they were going to offer a special but apparently have not done so yet. Have you had any contact with them regarding the Rally specials?
Sorry about the misinformation on Tiara RV, I thought they handled the Bighorn line. I knew they handled several of the Heartland product lines and thought the Bighorn was included.
On the quad steps, my previous unit, a Sundance, had the three steps and at the last rally I purchased the four step steel from Lippert's after market shop. I installed them on the Sundance and they worked well, I wish I had kept them for the Bighorn. I wonder if the four step steel are still...
Jim,
I guess I will not be able to use the 4 step as we currently have the 3 steps. I have a small Bighorn 2985 so I guess you can remove my name from the list.
Thanks,
Dewey
You are in a lovely place. We stayed at Elkmont a couple of years ago and loved it. Glad the new position (didn't want to use the job word) is going well.
I also do not add anything except in extreme cold weather. The engine manufacturers spec these units to run on fuel that is available at the pumps so there is no need to use additives. I do know a lot of people however that do run additives.
I believe their website says the campsite lengths include the total vehicle including the tow vehicle. You may want to check this out. We drove through and there were some rigs as large as ours but we chose to stay just outside of the park in a forest service campground just outside of West...
We met a caravan of these this summer with three of them pulling large trailers and one without a trailer. They were all Prevosts and I was wondering what the total value of that caravan would be.
