scottyb is "correctomundo"!
The 90" tray is the only one (per MORryde) that travels in both directions. I didn't have 90". The other consideration is what scottyb referenced, my basement is offset.
The only downside that I can see is I will have to remove a tray in order to remove the...
Jim, I absolutely agree with your statement. While this was a significant investment (for me), I actually walked away feeling like the investment (both time and $) was more than "worth it". Certainly a rare experience for me! :)

OEFVET....
Jim's explanation is right on the mark. I will only add that the plumbing in the rear (drain pipes on the 4200) presents a unique challenge to installing the IS. I'm sure there are variations from unit to unit, but in my case, they would have to build the sub-frame to accommodate...
Took my 4200 to MORryde this week for a little work. I had intended to get the MORryde independent suspension (IS) and disc brakes. Unfortunately, the IS was going to raise the overall height by a couple of inches, so I ruled that option out (my 4200 is exactly 13’6” from the factory…...
We have the TRAV'LER for DirectTV and it's been great. Very convenient, and has worked every time (I have not had any problems with trees... yet). My parents have the same setup for DISH and they have also been very happy.

While doing a visual inspection today, I noticed the black caulk around the edge of the hot water heater had a few gaps of coverage. What type of caulk can I use to fill in the gaps?
Thanks,
Jay
Wow! It's amazing how much damage a "dime size" leak can cause. I hope your insurance is helping you out. Good luck with the repair. Would love to see pics when your all fixed up!
Jay
Jim-
I'm with you now. I think the only difference in our 4200s is my rear grey tank drains out the rear sewer hose.
I appreciate you sharing your rear sink and shower drain experience. How does the toilet drain?
Jay
Jim-
I have a different experience.... if I understood your explanation. My kitchen and rear shower/sink share the rear grey tank (grey tank 2 on the control panel). When I dump grey tank 2, it drains from the rear sewer hose - So does the rear black tank (separate gate handles). My front...
Just came back from my 3rd trip with the 4200 and we are really enjoying it. The garage is essentially my daughter's apartment.... she really likes having her own bathroom. Question for you folks that have a 4200.... does your garage toilet and shower drain easily? Our toilet/shower does...
Bart-
Wow! You are very generous with your time. Thanks for the pics; I really appreciate you taking the time to send this.
I believe I can come up with something based off your pics.
Jay
Thanks Bart. I'm in Navarre, Fl right now (not sure the a/c's have stopped running since getting here Tuesday!) I'll add this to my "to do" list when I get back. Appreciate your help.
Jay
Dan/Bart-
Appreciate the feedback. Bart, to your point, I do not see any hoses by the steps. In fact, the water overflow was flowing behind the steps. Assuming I have the issue you referenced, what can I do to fix?
Thanks,
Jay
After searching and reading several post, I still have a question. Are there multiple overflow hoses on the fresh water tank? Per my water flow meter, I filled the tank with 98 gallons before water started dripping from the door side. I was anticipating water coming from one of the two white...
Randor-
Appreciate you sharing your experience with the Safety Hitch. That's a nice looking setup.
Your overall length really isn't as long as it looks. I would have guessed you would be closer to 80 ft based on your pics.
Thanks again for sharing.
Good luck and safe travels.
Jay
Well.....
I towed the 4200 to the dealership today on relatively flat ground and did not experience any hard downshifts (both on/off cruise). Afterwards, I drove home (w/out the 4200) and each and every shift (up/down) was smooth as butta'! I still decided to stop by the dealer just for a...
@porthole - i don't recall if it happens while the cruise is on (great question). I have a scheduled trip to the RV dealership tomorrow and will see if it happens with cruise. Afterwards, I'm going to have the Ford dealership take a look and possible reflash.
Appreciate everyone's time...
Appreciate all of the feedback. I do have the exhaust brake engaged.
The hard downshift may be normal given the weight being pull and the grade (6%) I'm accelerating up. The transmission temp is stable (200 +/-) and nothing else is out of norm (no noises, etc.).... just a very pronounced...
Anyone having an issue with hard downshifting from 6th to 5th with their F350?
Truck:
2015 F350 DRW (11,500 miles)
6.7 diesel
tow/haul mode
airbags
stock (no tunes or mods other than airbags)
Scenario:
Towing (Cyclone 4200) through the mountains and experienced very hard downshifts (under...
Appreciate you taking the time to share this. I hold my breath every time I bring the slide in due to the tilt. Glad your problem has been resolved.
Jay
apc427-
If you're able, could you please take a picture of the C channel bar and also the replacement? Forgive my ignorance, but I can't see (in my mind's eye) what you're talking about. Also, did you experience this problem from the beginning or did it show up after using the slide several...
My slide also tilts back significantly, but I've never had the refrigerator come unplugged. Was not aware this is a "known" issue. Is this a warranty repair?
Busted2341- I agree with you.
This is our second Heartland and both had early nagging issues that "should" have been caught at the factory. I suppose this is the unfortunate downside of mass produced RVs... not that it's ok. I would be shocked if every RV is quality inspected as it rolls...
I had a similar issue. In order to troubleshoot, I had to fill my tub with a couple of gallons of water, then had my wife pull the plug while I observed the plumbing in the basement. Ended up being a hairline crack in the drain down spout from the tub drain.
Good luck.
richiek-
I'm not aware of a better route than what you have listed. I think the only "fun" part of your trip is when you get into NC... Just a long stretch (about 20ish miles) of winding I-40. Take your time and you'll be fine. We travel that section of I-40 a couple of times a year when we...
Lots of great suggestions.
I have also learned to asked several questions when making reservations....
- does your entrance/exit easily support large 5th wheels (big rigs)
- any low hanging trees, sharp curves, etc on the roads leading to your facility
- any "local knowledge" that I need to...
Jim-Lynn... do you have a picture of a topper on the bedroom slide? I want one, but was told there was not enough room between the slide top and the roof. Would appreciate any information you could provide.
Thanks,
Jay
@Bombshellaud....
I believe the only slide that you can put a topper on is the living room slide (on the 4200). At least that's what the factory told me when I added mine.
To answer your question... I do like toppers. I camp mostly in the south where pine needles and other leafy stuff can...
