Ladder for the top bunk in garage

My ladder is a PITA and that is why it is in the basement. It is fixing to come out and go into storage in my home. I never use it. The step stool is more convenient and handy for any step up needs. The loft ladder serves no purpose for me because my loft is used for storage.

Ladder for the top bunk in garage

The ladder that came with my 3110 is for the loft. I store it in the basement. I bought a nice folding step stool for the bunk bed and any other need and store it in the loft.

    Mounting Items in Garage

I agree with the previous comments. I don't believe the walls would be strong enough for lateral or even angular stresses. You might want to do a search for comments made by DocFather and others in the Garage section referencing motorcycle tie downs and restraints. When I pack a grill I just...

    4x4 Dually or 4x2 Dually?

I have used my 4 wheel drive twice in the last six weeks moving my Cyclone around in the yard. In the past I would have to use my Kubota tractor (4x4) to pull my F250 SRW 2WD when on wet grass hooked to the Cyclone.

    Suggestions for tv wall mount.

I put a 24" VIZIO Smart TV on a swing arm mount from SAM'S Club in our bedroom. (Ugh! I have too many TVs to deal with in my Cyclone...but it does keep the wife happy.)

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

Pouring and finishing concrete...that brings back memories. 65' to cover RV and tow vehicle, that's really nice. You're going to enjoy having that!

I would have to say that that is definitely a stout and strong building. It looks to be very well constructed. Good job!

    Outdoor TV

I have a 32" RCA LCD combo DVD/TV from 5 years ago. I had it when I was pulling a 32' TT. I kept the box it came in to store the tv when not in use. I put a bracket on the back of the TV so I can quickly set it up with the arm I installed on the basement wall. The arm stows away taking very...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

If you get Juan, Frank and Daniel, they were the installers for mine. They are very good workers. Juan and Frank work very fast, no wasted motion. Daniel pays very close attention to details. If so, tell them I said hi!

    Onan 5500 not starting...partially solved

This is just my opinion: I have a 2014 Cyclone, 18 months old. I filled the fuel tank with premium non ethanol gas and one can of seafoam when new. I run the generator periodically, but not regularly. It has 42 hours on it. It has never had an issue starting. I use premium gas in case the...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

$8093.15 for 24' X 50' X 14' height, vertical roof metal carport, installed, with local taxes. ($1108.65 down payment deposit at the time of purchase.) $3500 for 24' X 55' X 6+" thick reinforced concrete (6 gauge wire), 27 cubic yards, material and labor (finishers). $220 local building...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

Been there, done that! That's exactly how it is done. My home is an octagon with 2 wings coming off of it. Lots of 22.5 degree angles so I used coordinate geometry focusing on a fix point with precise distance control lines. Needless to say the framing contractor was very dubious of this...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

Yes, 14' clearance under the gable due to the 14' legs (special order). I had good finishers for the concrete but I didn't double check the forms before the pour. The width had narrowed a few inches so I had to get the building cut to 23'-8" width. I hated losing the 4 " but I can still open...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

The company is out of North Carolina. I used a local sales rep for the purchase. It does not appear that they serve New Mexico but a google search will show you that it is a very competitive market for carports. I am a retired civil/structural engineer so my research was to find a competent...

Woo Hoo! Finally got the RV Port Finished

This has been a very long project, about 9 months, stretched out in various stages. However, an excellent construction crew came yesterday morning and put up this 24' x 50' x 14' tall RV Port. I spent today cleaning up and locating all the dropped screws. I finally got the two rv's to 'bed'...

    RV Cover Recommendations or Not

You can if you build it big enough!!!! I've been waiting 4 months for the installers to bring my RV Port. They started today at 10 am and finished at 8 pm. It will be just big enough to open all the slides on my Cyclone and still park my old class c rv on the side. These rv ports are real...

    Half-ton trucks towing 5th wheels?

I agree with you Bogie. Trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph. I am comfortable setting the cruise at 58 mph and staying in the outside lane. I might go to 60 if I can pace an 18 wheeler and get a little better mpg's. I understand that their only concern is not following close and staying...

Our New Cyclone 3110 HD and Love it!!!

I have been toying with the idea of a solar panel also. I don't think I want to permanently attach it to the roof. I've been thinking more along the lines of mounting the panel on a collapsible tripod and plugging into a prewired setup to the battery. This would give me the flexibility of...

Our New Cyclone 3110 HD and Love it!!!

By the way, I see in the picture of the rear patio that you had the awning extended over the patio. In case the dealer didn't show you, there are two aluminum braces stowed in the the head of the awning that attach to the vertical wall either side of the garage opening. There is a special...

    The Towmax Gremlin strikes again!

My only recommendation is to go to an F-rated (12 ply) or a G-rated (14 ply) tire. Also include replacing the spare tire. You presently have E-rated, 10 ply tires. The higher capacity tires should give you more peace of mind as long as you maintain the proper tire pressure (95 psi or 110...

    Garage Heat Vent

I have a 2014 3110 and noticed the same thing this past weekend when we went camping. When the furnace is running there is cool air coming from the round wall vent in the garage. The floor vent on the other side of the glass doors is blowing hot. When the furnace stops there is no air coming...

    2015 4200 garage carpet?

I have a 2014 3110. I bought two rolls of a thin felt-like carpet (smoke grey area rugs) from home depot several years ago when I had my TT. They were less than $20 each. I have been impressed that they really hold up well and are very light and store easily. They do not have a cheap look...

    Garage space in a 3110

We also are enjoying our 2014 3110. It was the perfect floor plan for me and the wife. With the den and kitchen slides out the floor space is enormous. We agree that the bedroom slide and the sliding glass doors are an inconvenience but we can live with it. I plan to flip the glass slides...

    3110 light fixture over sink

Just another heads up to all who have this fixture over their sink. The globes are made of glass and are held in place with a plastic nut. I didn't notice that one was loose. We returned home today from a weekend trip and found that one globe fell onto the sink countertop and broke into a...

Chose the Trailer - Need to Choose the Truck

I agree with all the comments and advice given in this thread. I just upgraded to a 1 ton DRW from a 3/4 ton SRW. I pulled a 10k TT for 4 years and then a 16k toyhauler for 17 months. The TT was an easy tow for a 3/4 ton SRW. The 16k toyhauler maxed out the truck. Towing in cross winds were...
