ATF: Cyclone - Slide roof issue

Either that or a limit switch which would have electrically enforced the sequence of small slide first, large slide second. This sounds like a design issue and Heartland should step up. Best of luck to you!

    Electric fireplace won’t turn on

I would like to add my 2 cents about the fireplace. Several years ago I smelled something strange near the fireplace. When I touched the plug at the receptacle I found it to be quite warm. Since then I have never set the power at full 1500 watts. I use the lower wattage setting and the plug does...

Installing a new Lippert Level Up 6pt Autoleveling System

Yes, I have Lippert front hydraulic landing gear and just a Lippert rear electric stabilizer. I might end up going to Elkhart but for me that would be a very long trip and I would have to wait until spring.

Looking for feedback: Adding MORryde or Lippert steps to Sundance

I installed a set of Morryde steps (STP 4-30-03H) in my Cyclone 3110 a few days ago. Before I screwed down the hinge I checked the fit. The door was a little reluctant to close. After I initially installed 2 screws I used a lead shot filled rubber hammer to better form fit the stairs to the...

Installing a new Lippert Level Up 6pt Autoleveling System

I have a 2014 Cyclone 3110 I bought new 5 years ago. It did not come with 6pt Level Up. I use two Powerbuilt All-in-one 3 ton bottle jack in jack stand under the front spring hangers each side to give me a sense of a 6pt stabilized RV. The rear has the electric Lippert stabilizer jack. The...

Sorry, it is difficult to find free hosting of photos on the internet. This forum would not let me directly upload any photos. Might I suggest you research one of the four Heartland/Cyclone Facebook pages that serves to compliment the members of this excellent forum. It is easy to upload photos...

    Eureka Yellow Jacket Vacuum

I was out in the RV doing some minor maintenance when the wife told me that the last time she vacuumed the floor the vacuum was very weak. So I asked her when did she last change the bag. ....crickets... So she hands me a new bag and now I am in the pass thru compartment trying to remove the...

    Recliner sofa peeling

Hello all, this is a follow-up to what I did. I removed the original sofa recliner and purchased a replacement wall hugger recliner locally. I was able to make a dining set using the original table tops that came with my rv. I had to purchase shorter table legs from a local RV shop. I was...

    Hercules ST235/85r16 F-rated, 95 psi tires

I never put my RV on a scale but the maximum calculated weight per axle was 6500 lbs. this is why the original blomax tires didn’t last. They could not support 3000 lbs each. I would check the air before each trip. I ran 95 psi cold. The tires always maintained the pressure. I do not have...

    Hercules ST235/85r16 F-rated, 95 psi tires

It was about 4 years ago I purchased 5 new Hercules F-rated tires to replace the 5 blowmax E-rated tires on my 2014 Cyclone 3110. I am now going to replace these 4 F-rated Hercules tires. I now have had the second tire fail where the center belts under the tread have started to fail where the...

    Recliner sofa peeling

I have a 2014 Cyclone 3110 for a little more than 5 years. The finish on the sofas have just started peeling. It appears to be a common failure with the Lippert products. The wife wants to replace the furniture. Before I go to purchasing residential quality furniture I was wondering if anyone...

SOLVED: Replacement fuel station pump (repaired)

Just wanted to add this, gasoline starts breaking down after 6 months. I fill the tank with fresh fuel and stabilizer every September (prepared for hurricane season). Every spring I start drawing down the tank by fueling my ztr and four wheeler during the summer. I’ve been doing this for 5 years...

How to tighten Happijac chain and adjust headroom for upper bunk?

It has been several years ago that I did this but the best I can remember, there is a pulley at the bottom of each channel that can take the slack out of each chain. It was not difficult to do. “Re: Electric beds in garage There are four straight pins (similar to the ones outside on the ladder...

ATF: Cyclone - Broken screws, screws falling out all over

My suggestion for missing or rusting screw replacement is to use stainless screws. If if it is a trim screw that is stripped out you can use a wood toothpick to shim the screw hole before reinstalling the screw. Using a silicone adhesive is also a good idea. With all the shaking and bouncing...

    3210 and a short bed?

    I pulled a 2014 2-axle 3110 with a 2010 F250 short bed for 15 months. I upgraded to a long bed F350 dual rear wheels to achieve a more comfortable towing experience.

Towing a cyclone 4000 with a short bed SRW

I towed a two axle 3110 for 17 months with a SRW Superduty F250. 16,000# loaded. The truck handled it well but you could tell it was at max capacity for the truck. RV’ing is supposed to be fun but towing with a maxed out truck is not! It can be stressful. Towing a three axle toyhauler with a...

    Wasted space.

In my 3110 there are three sliding drawers in that space. There is a open clearance under the drawers allowing the slide’s floor to come in under the drawers. Believe me, when the kitchen slide comes in there is no empty space to be found!

    Garage A/C mod

I had posted pics in the past but Photobucket quit hosting my pics. I will have to take some more in the future when it is not so cold to go outside. I have everything buttoned up for the winter. If you PM me I can try to send you the earlier pics by email.

    Garage A/C mod

I’m doing the same thing in my 3110. I adapted the exhaust to the corner wall vent. I picked up my portable AC from Sam’s. The ac unit does an excellent job of cooling the garage. I had a previous post showing the installation.

Generator won't crank after installing new battery

Hello all, I started this thread on April 8. There has been a lot of excellent information in the discussions. Thank you to all contributing. Cyclone 3110 stains on garage floor

From time to time, my golf cart will drip acid water on the garage floor staining it. This weekend I sat down and scrubbed the floor with a stiff bristle brush and clear water while sprinkling baking soda on the wet area. It will foam up until all the acid is neutralized. Using wet rags and a...

Cyclone 3110 Living Room Slide is now cooler during summer!

When we would go camping during summer months the 2 AC’s would struggle cooling the interior with the slides out. I noticed the inside of slide roofs were very warm to the touch. So I had slide toppers installed. Instant improvement in interior cooling! Also I had an awning installed over the...

    Exterior Oxidation/Fading On 2015

Sorry to hear about the oxidation. I keep my 2014 Cyclone washed and waxed to preserve the finish. However, I built a full cover to keep it under to extend the life of the roof and keep the interior cooler. The extra benefit is it also preserves the finish and graphics on the exterior. It is a...

Generator won't crank after installing new battery

13 feet 3 inches of tree tearing height

Be aware that any repairs with solvents in the mix will damage the rubber roof. I used Dicor non-leveling lap sealant in a caulking tube to make roof repairs on an old class c RV. It was very effective. My 3110 is 13' 3" high also. I did a lot of route preplanning in my rural home location...

ATF: Cyclone - Sliding Glass Door

3 years ago my sliding door was not adjusted either. I caught this during the PDI. However it was still not correct when I brought the RV home. I adjusted it myself at that time.
