Has anyone changed the awning led lights with dimable lights? When I talked to the factory rep they told me that the current led lights on our 2017 BH were not dimable. I had thought about getting a dimmer switch only. But with this info I decided maybe I should just exchange the whole strip...
We didn't feel it was wasted space just wanted a way to get to items that we put back there without having to crawl on our knees to get to it. By the way the overall length of the seats is about 6 ft so it doesn't stick out and there is plenty of room to pull it out cause you don't have to pull...
Just finished up my storage bin for behind the theater seating in our 3160 EL. Made it from 3 pieces of 1"x8"x6' pieces of wood. Cut the pieces to 5' lengths and used the left over for the end caps. Then stuck roller wheels on bottom one set stationary the other swivel.
Wife uses it to...
It was always stored in a garage and creased. I've always had some issues with the hitch. But no longer B&W is installed and like I said smooth as silk. Anyone needing a Reese that fits ford make me an offer.

Well I don't have to worry anymore because I bought the B&W companion hitch and it is smooth as silk. Glad I switched.

Not sure, I had checked the hitch before I moved but during unhooking I needed to move the trailer back a couple feet and when I stopped it just slide off the hitch.

I finally gave up on my Reese elite. After having so many problems with hooking and unhooking including it coming loose and dropping the 5th wheel on my bed I said enough. Bought the B&W rvk3300 and already think it's a better hitch and I've only done a test hook up.

Here are some pics of my mod for the screen door. The bottom and middle pieces are stationary right now. They fit into inside groove of the door. The top glass is removable. It barley fits the groove on the sides but fits into the groove at top and ledge at bottom. For the bottom glass the top...
We just picked our 3160EL up the first of march and boy we really love the room. We had a 2012 3070rl. We had the factory flip the bathroom door to open from the right and I'm glad we did. I put one of those magnetic door stops on the wall and door and that works great. I think you'll really...
We just picked up our 3160 which has coffered ceilings and ours has the fantastic fan in kitchen. But to answer the question how do you exhaust the kitchen. The new convection/microwave has a range vent in it.
Ok fixed the clothes rack. Cut off braids on center board and then was able to install 3 screws through board into ceiling. Not sure why Heartland installed braids in mine. Our friends camper which is identical to ours and was built the same week as ours had screws in it. Heartland please...
Just got home from our trip of picking up our new 3160. We picked it up in Dexter MO and spent a few days moving in and doing a live in PDI. Then we trekked down to Memphis TN so I could visit my best friend. Spent a couple days there then we trekked over to Little Rock AR where we spent a...
Hello Klondike from a fellow Kansan. We live down around Wichita. We are headed to Mo. to pick up our new 3160EL Feb 27th. If your ever down this way pm me.
Thats what I noticed traveltiger and the bottom of front is gold also. Amazing how things change at the factory. I guess ordering a fifth wheel is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get. Lol
Man beautiful rig. We ordered ordered our 3160 around Dec 16th. We too got the black and red paint but ours looks a little different than yours. We pick ours up Feb 27th and we too will spend a couple days moving into it and doing a live in pdi. By the way our camping travelsing friends bought...
When we visited the Heartland and grand design factories back in sept of 2016 we got to see grand designs pdi building and thought wow what a great idea. I think they take ever unit through the pdi process. I believe forest river has a dedicated pdi building too. Thanks Heartland for stepping...
Happy, I take it that you like your B&W better than your Reese? I've have a 2012 F350 and the Ford Reese hitch and I hate it. Been thinking of getting the B&W companion to fit the puck system on the truck.

Ok so I went and took a picture of this door I saw on sob today. It looks like the other brand has made or has had made aluminum frames for the lexan panels that are removable.
We had our door modified like yours Nabo on our old 3070 but the top glass removal was very clunky. The one we saw on the cedar creek worked just like a house storm door where the glass stored in the door.

Roger look into the TPMS system I like mine and it had a model that you load an app on your phone and it sends the info to your phone via Bluetooth. It can run in the background or you can have it displayed. It gives audible alerts either way. I have been very impressed with there customer...
We were at a local CedarCreek dealer and happened to notice what a nice screen/storm door they have. It has plexiglass panels the can be removed to only have the screen. Would be a great feature to have.
Well scratch that idea wife saw the wood window trim on sob and really wants that so it's back to finding what wood Heartland uses and the stain color.
Thanks all for the replies. I had thought about doing it that way too. Since we still have our 3070 in the driveway (holding for couple who bought it) I thought I would measure and pattern them since they are made the way you guys did. That way I don't have to worry about the wood type and...
We pick up our new 3160EL in 2 weeks. I am wanting to make wooden valances like in the landmark for our Bighorn. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of wood and stain color to use to match the rest of the coach. Otherwise I will attempt to build valances like in our 2012...
We saw these when we took the tour back in Sept 16 and they looked like they were solar cause I didn't see any wiring and there appeared to be little solar panels on them. I also called my dealer today since our new 3160 is in paint and should be delivered by end of the month and asked if we...
Just to add a check point to this thread. We had warranty work done on our trailer shortly after we got ours and the dealer had to cut the coroplast to fix the problem. I didn't have any problem till a year later and then the tape they used wouldn't hold. Since that time the coroplast has not...
They were marathons and were not from the factory. I put them on a little over a year ago on another trip where I had 2 blowouts on the left side which were the factory tires. Our bighorn is a 2012. Sad thing is we were going to come home and put it up for sale because we are considering on...
On our last trip in September to AZ we had a blow out first on the right front then on the left rear of or Bighorn. Did $2900 worth of damage to trailer. These tires were only a little over a year old and only had about 5k miles on them. But Thanks to Mr. Lang's suggestion of keeping the one...
I use to do that but since I have had blow outs on 2 trips in 2 yrs I try staying on interstate because of wide sides to pull over on.

Tom we are looking at ordering a 3160EL and are considering full body paint. I noticed on the updated order form that the name of the paint has changed to black and red and Black and Tan Are there pics of these available or are these the same as the old cappuccino and sterling? Where are the...
