    Looking at a '13 3070RE - advice?

Hi All, Wondering if there are any special things I should be looking for when examining this unit we're looking to buy, beyond the obvious general condition items. It's about a two hour drive away so I want to do a thorough job while there I'm working from a PDI checklist I found that seems...

Six Point Level Up - worth it?

Thanks everybody for all your input. I guess she who holds the purse strings will be making the final decision, but I'll be pulling hard for the inclusion! Anyway, it may not happen at all; just found out our son has decided to move back home and go back to college, keeping him in oats will...

Six Point Level Up - worth it?

A local dealer has a new old stock '14 3070RE at a pretty good price, but, it doesn't have dual pane windows nor the six point level up options. The dual panes are a must for us so we're getting a quote for that, but we are dithering about the auto leveling system. I know it won't be cheap to...

Two issues found and fixed today

I noticed a small bulge below the lower fridge vent yesterday so took the vent cover and surround off to find delamination across about three inches and extending down to the bottom metal valence. The condensation drain tube was tucked away inside, pretty sure that's where the water came from...

Thanks for that Bob. I came back from Indianapolis a couple of years back through Sarnia; virtually no wait at the border crossing. I guess it depends what time we get away and how long I want to drive on the Sunday whether we make it to Wildwood or stop before or... The route given by...

Crack and delam at corner of bedroom slide

Hi, I have an '08 3400RL with VIN 5SFGF34208E010596, the bottom right corner has cracked and delamination started. I covered it with some Eternabond tape to prevent further deterioration, but am wondering why this happened and what steps are necessary, if they are necessary, to repair this...

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: ON, Kingston - 9/7/2012 to 9/9/2012

We had a great time, met a bunch of nice people, ate a bit too much but that's to be expected when there's so much good stuff. I'm planning on going to the national rally in Goshen next year (June 18 - 23) on the recommendation of everyone who's been to one. A great big thank you to Rick &...

    ATF: Bighorn - cracked fiberglass

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: ON, Kingston - 9/7/2012 to 9/9/2012

I look forward to meeting fellow Heartland owners in September. I also look forward to seeing WillyM, we have met before; I used to have a Titanium 32E37 and if I recall correctly is was he who helped me trace a weird electrical issue with it at a Titanium Owners Group rally at Rideau Acres...

    Considering a 2008 3400RL.

Well we pulled the trigger and are now the proud owners of a Heartland product. C'mon spring, can't wait to get the new rig on the road! I had a good look at the springs, comparing them with some pictures from this site, as well as new rigs on the dealer's lot, and I think they must have been...

    Considering a 2008 3400RL.

Thanks for your quick reply Dave. I hadn't thought of the advantage of that extra room, you're probably right, getting dressed can be a bit tricky in our existing rig. What was the nature of the issue with the springs? I took a picture of the undercarriage, well as much as I could get...

    Considering a 2008 3400RL.

Just came back from looking at the above rig at a local dealer and we are considering accepting their offer. It will, of course, be dependent upon a full PDI in the spring, and we've already noticed an issue with the Thermopane window in the rear. So, what, beyond the basics, should I be...
