Sundance XLT 5er and with towmax tires ?

Our Elkridge E22 5'r is at the lower end of the GVWR(9,900#). With that said I felt that the Towmax tires that came with it new would be OK. Well, so much for my opinion as I joined the Blowmax club this week. I took the blown tire to our local tire shop and asked the owner for his input on what...

What did you do to your camper today?

Technically it isn't to the camper, but an accessory of the camper. I built a EU Quiet Box for our EU2000i. See and hear on my Flicker account. For some reason it won't play on Google Chrome(but will in "incognito" window), but will play on Mozilla Firefox and MS Internet Explorer. EU2000i au...

Considering Prowler P255 5'er, ANY current owners out there with feedback?

We do have the outside "camp kitchen" and use it frequently...................but not as a kitchen. I call it a fish cleaning station. If the outside fridge was propane it would be a major improvement as we primarily dry camp with no electric hookup. Have never used the outside microwave.

Considering Prowler P255 5'er, ANY current owners out there with feedback?

I think the Prowler "P" series and Elkridge "E" series Fifth Wheels are pretty much the same. We have been very happy with our Elkridge E22 which is the next size down from the 255 models.

    Mods to my 28brs

I bought the Ming's 1156/1141 Green Long Life 330 Lumens LED Bulbs. So far in over four years of use not a single one has failed. Just for clarification these are not for the RV taillight or sidemarker bulbs.

    Unidentified switch

Do you have an outside camp-kitchen with a second microwave? If so there is a light type on/off switch that controls the use of either the inside or outside microwave. This is to keep someone from running both microwaves at the same time..............too much electricity for the circuit.

    PEX plumbing question

And don't forget the brass connector's(T's) between pipe runs. They are the most likely to fail due to freezing before the Pex will. Sewer gas smell in bedroom

If you have not used a sink/drain, in time the water in the p-trap will evaporate and it will allow sewer smells to travel through the pipe. Discovered this at work in a bathroom that had a floor drain. Poured some water into the floor drain and voila, no more smell.

Need suggestions on easiest way to run CPAP for 6 hours without 110 volts

You should be able to get more than 6 hours of CPAP use off your RV battery. Many CPAP machines have the capability to run directly off of 12V with an optional power cord. You generally want a pure sine wave inverter for electronics like CPAP's which are more expensive than modified sine wave...

Keeping the fridge cold during travel without propane or generator

You could freeze a one gallon jug(or 1/2 gallon) of drinking water prior to your trip. Put in in the fridge just before traveling. Combined with the cold food in the refrigerator it should keep your food cold enough. Let it melt upon arrival and use for drinking water or re-freeze for the trip home.

Mr. Heater Portable Buddy Propane Heater

I used that model of the Buddy Heater for a number of years and the only problem I had was keeping it lit. X2. If you don't have the flap you can use a piece of 0.093 Lexan plastic cut to size, painted white and then attached to solid wire(like a coathanger or welding rod) with JB Weld and duct tape did the job for me. Looks like the OEM, and those pins are not going to break.

Setting up 12 Volt System for Best Dry Camping and CPAP Use

To expand on what Kevin has indicated, the electrical draw also depends on the output air pressure setting of the CPAP machine. The higher the output pressure, the more electrical current draw. Without a humidifier my CPAP draws 1.13A at 6cmH2O while the draw is 2.12A at 20cmH2O With the...
