Hello! We bought '12 model which has the long couch, prefer it as to us it's just more homey, can always use the small tv type trays for more folk as its to us more practical than the big table that came with it.

I had a gooseneck hookup in my truck that was not B&W so the companion would not work seeing the piece for Companion that goes in truck bed is square and hole in my bed was round. I bought an adapter that was round for bed and square for companion around $100(have receipt somewhere...I think)...

My bad should be UDC and not UDS. I am totally new to RVing as this is our first fifth wheel. I too have wondered about the acronyms, in fact had been planning to post thread asking what they all meant; DW, DH and on and no. To answer UDC this is where your water and etc hook up out of the way...

If I ran 30 amp cord from pedestal through hole in UDS and short cord from plug on trailer also through hole in UDC having all this in basement storage and plugged into Surge protector. Would this be a problem in any way?

We purchased 2012 CY3800 Nov 16 took it to Cloud Nine RV Park in Hot Springs Monday-Wednesday 11/28-30. Everything was great! Host at the park were exceptionally nice and helpful; as well as the park. Looking forward to many more trips.

That is exactly what I already have but my question is... what if any thing will deter someone from simply unpluggung from trailer and pedestal; besides... well you know.

My power cords 30 and 50 amp are detachable plug from the 3800, I have the 30amp surge guard with the lock hasp but it seems it is a waste of time for if someone wanted to get it with the "five finger discount" they would just unplug the cord from the trailer and the pedestal. Any suggestions!

Does anyone use a king pin lock? If so what kind.
