Hi everyone, we have a black film of grime inside our Bighorn after about 10,000 miles this past winter. I don't know if it is diesel soot or general road grime but it makes a cloth dirty black if you wipe it on the cabinets , etc. I have inspected the seals on the slides and they seem fine...

Good point Steve....I did the same thing...I drilled a hole in each leg large enough that I can place the tip of my grease gun directly on the worm gear and give it a good shot of grease.

I just recently did this to my Bighorn as well. I modded the original leg on the drivers side so didn't need to buy a new leg. I got the motor and gear box as well as 2 rebuild kits from an online vendor for $100.00 and found a switch and box for $75.00 at a local RV dealer. I kept the crossover...

Hi I noticed my lights getting dim this evening. I checked the incoming power and its ok..I have plenty of 110 volt power throughout the coach..checked the 15 amp breaker for the converter and it was tripped. I reset it but still no voltage to the batteries. I took the cover off the breaker...

Hi ...I was raising my jacks and went a little too far and broke the pin that connects the motor to the worm gear. Has anyone replaced it before? I need to know if this is a specifically designed shear pin or just a standard pin. For temporary I am using a nail but need a more permanent fix...

hey Randy...the only problem is I don't have an air admittance valve under the kitchen sink.

ok...update. I found one of those Air Admittance valves under the bathroom sink. I followed the kitchen sinks drain all the way to the outside wall and at that point it tees and goes down and up. Right above where it goes up inside the cupboards there is a vent on the roof so I'm assuming that...

Dave....I definately don't have one of those and there is no indication that one has been removed. I am baffled.

Hi all....we get a horrible smell of sewer when we drain the kitchen sink. I have looked through this forum at other posts and find a reference to an air admittance valve. I have searched every inch of my drain pipe from the sink and there is no air admittance valve in my unit. Could this...

Hi can anyone tell me the best product to use to generally clean the outside of my BH. I've been traveling for a few weeks now and the diesel exhaust soot is getting on the front of my unit and down the passenger side . thanks....Jim

We are currently sitting in Las Vegas in a campground with no cable. Set both TV's to air....turned on the booster and put antenna up. We have quite a few channels on the LR tv but nothing on the bedroom tv. Can't figure out how to get anything on it. Its an Apex tv combo unit with a dvd player...

Hi Brian....yes I have thought about running a power cord to the entertainment center from the inverter however that won't be easy as the EC is in the slide at the rear and inverter is at the front.:confused:

how do you guys get power from your inverter ( mine is in the front storage compartment by the battery bank ) to your entertainment center. I know I can plug the entire RV into the inverter and then start shutting off fridge, hot water tank and A/C - heating unit but probably all I'm ever going...

Hi All, I have what appears to be greaseable bearings on my wheels on the BH. Trouble is it looks like you have to take the wheel off to access the grease nipples as there is a cover over them. Kind of a PITA unless there is another way. How often should they be greased?

I was testing my new to me BH today and went through the city pressure side of the plumbing and it all worked great. Then I put some water in the fresh water tank and turned on the pump....it would run but no pressure..what the heck? So I decided to put more water in the tank but I could not...

Good news! I crawled into the storage bay today and opened up the bulkhead and took a good look in there. I saw a device with fins on it so made my way in there and found a PD 9260C Intellipower which is the Progressive Dynamics charger with the charge wizard built in. So...I'm good to go with...

Hi Folks, I was underneath my new to me BH today and I noticed a small drain line with a ball valve in the open position. This is directly beside the 2 wheels on the drivers side of the unit under the DR slide. As we haven't been out with the unit yet and there is no water in it I can't test...

OK I looked at my converter today and it is a Progressive Dynamics make. Can I assume that because the BH is a 50 amp unit that the smart charger is built in to this converter? I see no way of finding the model number without tearing a lot apart.
