2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

Another update. Went back with the reinforced roller using the original mounting method(3 #12x1" screws). It works but it just doesn't seem strong enough for all the weight. I'm going to drill through the plywood and use a through 1/4 bolt and reinforcing plate on the bottom.

2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

Different models, different years, different rollers. The Heartland # on roller for my year model is 11963, manufactured by Cass Hudson, their number is FWF-0039-10. Per Cass Hudson, they discontinued this roller at the end of 2013. The new model would likely work, but it IS NOT a direct...

2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

Update: after scouring the internet for a replacement roller (see post 12 above for picture) with no luck, I called Heartland. They don't have it, but did give me the part number and manufacturer. Called them to find that they had discontinued the part at the end of 2013. I suspect over...

2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

Yup that's it, mines broke in the same places. Guess the simplest solution is to weld and reinforce my old one, and pack some grease in the bearing. I need to really look at the others, because this is the first one to break, on a 2013. However, I've noticed the past year it seems like the road...

2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

Managed to get my roller out. Fairly easy once I got the wood trim off. Still had to remove the drawer under the the refrigerator to get one of the screws. The bracket is cracked/broken in three places. I can weld and reinforce it if I have to, but the ball bearings in the roller are a little...

Is it only stapled at the back? And how did you reattach?

2013 Big Horn 3260 slide roller issue

The kitchen slide with refrigerator is scraping the vinyl going in and out. It appears that the bracket on one of the floor rollers is making contact. I can reach under the front and wiggle the roller, so either the pin has come out or the roller center hole is worn. It appears that these are...

    A/C Short Cycling

Changing the temperature setting works for a little bit, but then does the same thing. Haven't had a chance to check the temperature differential, but I'm leaning toward that as an issue.

    A/C Short Cycling

I would think its possible if just the compressor was cycling, but it's not. The fan and compressor both cycle on and off.

    A/C Short Cycling

I need to check, but I believe when I reset it, that it defaults back to d1. I need to recheck that.

    A/C Short Cycling

On auto during the day, it will cycle off (fan and compressor) when it reaches the correct temperature. Depending on ambient temperature it miIght stay off 5,10,15 mins or so before it will kick on. Of a night it drives you crazy with the ON/OFF routine every 2 or 3 mins. Is there a way to...

    A/C Short Cycling

We recently bought a used 2019 trailer, with Dometic air and a single zone Dometic thermostat. On "auto", during the day, it seems to do okay, but of a night the fan and compressor comes on runs a couple minutes, then shuts off. Couple mins later it will kick on again, only to repeat the...

    Rear Electric Stabalizer Jack Dead

Sometimes it's better to think it over, before you start. 4 hrs home today, backed under the cover, and unhooked. Out of curiosity I hit the switch on the jacks.....worked like a charm. I hit some really rough sections of road on the way up.

    Rear Electric Stabalizer Jack Dead

I've done pretty much everything over the years so repairing myself isn't an issue. Time unfortunately is. To many projects on my plate for the next few months.

    Rear Electric Stabalizer Jack Dead

We have a place in town that repairs all electric motors, including 12 volt. They're very reasonable, and will give me a like new motor when done. Since its 7 yrs old that might be the best route.

    Rear Electric Stabalizer Jack Dead

Moved it with manual crank, it worked but as soon as I let up on switch it wouldn't work till I moved it again. Will leave it be for now, and work on it at home.

    Rear Electric Stabalizer Jack Dead

So I hit the button on the rear jacks this morning and all was well as it has been. 4 hrs later when we arrived it wouldn't work. I've verified power to the switch and power going to the jack motor. I'm assuming that it's in the motor at this point, but find it odd that it happened without any...

Stainless Steel Center Hub Cap For 16" Aluminum 8 lug wheel

Can anyone give me any information/source on a replacement center cap for a 16" 8 lug aluminum rim, this is off a 2013 Bighorn. I'm so mad I could bite nails, as the tire shop that replaced my tires, crushed the existing ones.

    Electrical Problem

On my Big horn I think it's in the front compartment, I'll check it. As I recall there's also a grounding lug on the frame, that I'll check as well. I would think that a weak primary ground would affect all the circuits but who knows. Footnote: Now the ceiling LED that comes on when you open...

    Electrical Problem

Out of the blue our TV in the coach wouldn't raise or lower, and the LED lights above stopped working. A little troubleshooting later, I discovered that I had power, but a weak ground. Ran a jumper ground to the switch to get the TV up and down, and in doing so, also makes the LED lights above...

    Horizontal Slide Adjustment Lippert Hydraulic

#3 persuader and a jack to take the pressure off worked. Moved each of the arms over about 1/4" moved the slide enough that it's close to center in the hole now. Thanks for the help everyone.

How did you move the end of the arm over, use a large adjustment persuader? AKA 3# hammer.

    Horizontal Slide Adjustment Lippert Hydraulic

I wondered about that approach???? I only need to move it back about a 1/2" in the opening. Will running the slide in an out cause the slide to actually scoot over???? - - - Updated - - - Not sure we're on the same page. I have the Lippert instructions for the slide. I need to move the whole...

    Horizontal Slide Adjustment Lippert Hydraulic

The kitchen slide out with Refrigerator needs to slide back in the opening. Followed the directions which were simple enough till I got to the part about moving the slide. Directions said to carefully "pry" the slide in the right direction. That may work on some but apparently not when you have...

    Bubble In Sidewall

Very interesting indeed. I'll try to post a picture up later today. One thing I have noticed is that while it doesn't seem to get larger, it does become more noticeable when the weather gets warmer or sun heats it up. I'm wondering if I can drill a couple of small holes in the bubble and use a...

    Bubble In Sidewall

Our 3 year old BH, has developed what seems to be a slight bubble (delamination) about 6" in diameter, on the sidewall. It's located in the center not close to any edge. There is a dryer vent above and slightly in front of it about 2 to 3' away, but there's no indication of any delamination...

Need Help With A Slide Problem On A Big Horn!!!!!!

Need Help With A Slide Problem On A Big Horn!!!!!!

As near as I can tell we have a BAL Accu Slide, cable operated in our bedroom. Every so often it's been a little more noisy than usual, but yesterday after setting winterized for about 3 weeks, I put the bedroom slide out and it sounded like a giant grinder. We came in from a trip in November...

    Bighorn - Master Toilet Clogged

Always have to chuckle at the extensive rituals people go to with their black tanks. I've used the same simple procedure for many years, and have never had a problem. I leave the black tank valve closed until the tank level reaches 3/4 or better, then open the valve and let it drain completely...
