If anyone else has a small TT you could split the site costs. I've got a slightly longer NT28BRS but the Low rider 2 step entry version. Even beside shorter trailers length wise I'm always shorter height wise. Shade from a neighbour is never an issue in the summer heat.

Prowler along with Wilderness, Pioneer and others were acquired by Heartland from Fleetwood Manufacturing.
Not much listed in the online specs for the Prowler compared to what the Sundance says. Best to call or email customer service with your questions. Best of luck.

First let me say that I am over the moon with my NT28BRS. But as things on life change so will my choice if RV. I plan to stay with a half ton truck and bumper pull trailer as the up front and continued operating costs are much lower then a diesel and 5er. But I would like the flexibility if a...
I think a configurable option list would make any man/woman happy. Different combinations of couches/cabinets or tool boxes would be appealing. Kind of the way some bunk house models come with a small dinette or couch for the kids. Even making it convertible with a slide would make a useable...
Lots of them around my seasonal site too. They have about a dozen identical newly purchased units large enough for two families and then about a half dozen randomly purchased used units. Including an old Bounder MH they place behind me this year. They had a large event planned and gave letters...

According to this story 20% of RV owners experience this at some point. The non contact volt tester is a good idea but it must always be tested on a known live source before trusting it.

There's lots of War of 1812 touristy stuff all along the Niagara Escarpment. DW is from Hamilton an hour or so up the QEW towards Toronto. Also, Niagara on the Lake is a nice visit and lots of winery tour in the area.

There's a New York State park website that you register for and make reservations through. Pretty good maps and descriptions of services and amenities.

Not sure it would work as there's usually stuff inside the box. On my current TT it's half storage and my previous one had the fresh water tank.

You can get the exhaust brake on SRWs. Not much drive line or price difference between a 250/2500 or a 350/3500. Stronger suspension etc gives more cargo (pinbox, passengers, etc.). There's plenty of diesel along the trans Canada highway as it's a major trucking route. Into Alaska you may want...
It totally depends on the dealer. Some aren't willing to factory order if they have something on the lot they can talk you into. That being said, if a dealer will factory order you should get a decent deal because it's a guaranteed sale with no carrying costs. Plus a potential downpayment. Win...
I like that but don't (DW) want it on the side of my subdivision house. Maybe next time round when I get some acreage.
I already have the adapter in case I only have a choice between 50A and 15/20A. Came with my previous TT and I kept it.

That a great idea. My TT is only 30A right now but could be 50A in the future. Or I could have a guest needing that so I plan to install a 50A outlet with an adapter to 30A to meet my current requirement. The minimal extra cost to upgrade us cheaper then doing it twice.

One is probably 12VDC/propane operation and the other 120VAC operation. There should be a third switch on the back of the water heater itself.

My dealer did the same thing as they were cheaper then replacing tailgates. I'm sure they get a bulk discount as they're one of the highest volume Ford dealers in Canada.

I'm on my fourth RV and done plenty of research, been to dealerships and shows. I brought home dozens if not a hundred brochures and every single one of them had the same disclaimer encouraging you to shop local. It's not like auto dealers who have cars on the lot for free until purchased and...
Was this the dealers Heartland rep or an employee of Heartland RVs? A dealer rep doesn't work for the factory and possibly they aren't making any orders until their stock is cleared out.

Ford and GM both offer 6.2L gas engines and Ram offers the 6.4L. Any one of then should be able to pull your trailer if properly equipped. Just pick your favourite flavour and option it up the way you need/want it to be and have some fun.

I have one exactly like that after my toddler pulled the pin last weekend. But not too worried as the trailer is currently parked but I need to fix it before I pull it again. I'd like one that isn't plastic next time as the unit heats up really fast with all the current flowing through it. It...
I've had plenty of luck but most provincial parks are old and geared for tents. Most don't have hookups or very small sites. KOAs usually get good reviews. I've tried a few for a weekend. That way you're nit out much if you don't like it. Most have websites with their amenities etc listed...
Complete Canada Day. Went camping, to the beach, park, splash pad and ended the day with fireworks in our hometown. And there was a Tornado warning and heavy rains today too.

My toddler pulled mine some time this weekend. I've always been paranoid of one of the kids (or somebody else's) doing this. It got really hot fast and melted the plug when I tried to insert it. Outside temp over 30C and climbing. Since the TT is parked I just cut it out and removed it...
Re: one outlet no power.on kitchen slide side.
You're absolutely right. It's the way I was taught in High School and later college. I fix connections all the time in the field that came apart because of this.
And smaller gauge solid wire snaps easily if stripped with pliers instead of wire...
That's a good point. Plus I like to leave with the trailer because I shouldn't need it at home. But if I'm at my site and need to relevel after a heavy rain I'm all set. It's not in the garage or shed.

I've seen some leave it attached to the trailer minus the truck. Kind of like a Hensley. I just stow them in the front compartment off door side until needed as I'm permanently parked right now.

General Motors sold their half of Motori to Fiat recently to help with their bottom line I assume. The engine was a GM/Fiat joint venture until that happened. Chevy is offering a 2.0L Eco diesel in the Cruze for 2014 but I'm not familiar with its origins.

I currently park the trailer seasonally but the new sticks and bricks house has a big enough yard to park it. Plan to travel next season but will replace the tires first. My friend who is a tire distributor always recommends LT tires for the weight and speed capacity compared to an ST. And my...
It's probably a code issue to keep the pipe under the trailer and not in the under belly. All 4 of mine have been that way. I've never seen pre painted black iron pipe. In my area each pipe system (gas/glycol/sprinkler etc.) has different colours that are sometimes customer dependant and painted...
My truck came with a Mr. Lugnut lock that wraps around the slip off side of the tailgate. Also came with a spare tire lock. Every truck on the lot had them included.

How about all the new tired on the rear and inside rears moved to the front? That will keep the loaded tires symmetrical.
