    Bighorn Bedroom slide problem

I have a 2014 Bighorn 3570RS that uses a Norco cable operated slide system which has problems. The slide will still go in and out but makes a grinding noise when retracting and seems to be in a bind. I had a local RV Tech look at the system who said the gearbox is bad and needs to be replaced...

    Titan Disc Brake Question

Truck is a 2018. Supposedly the later model Chevy trucks have the smarts to tell if the trailer brakes are electric over hydraulic or electric drum brakes and the adapter is not required.

    Titan Disc Brake Question

I have a Bighorn 3570RS and recently decided I was going to upgrade the brakes to the Titan disc brake package. We tow our Bighorn with a 2018 Chevy 3500 SRW. I did the conversion myself and was pleased with the quality of the components and ease of installation. We took the rig out for the...

    Galley Gray Water Tank Problem

As a follow up to my previous post, I have determined the leak on my Galley grey tank is coming from the top of the tank. I don't see any water leaking until the tank is almost full. It would seem to me the tank is cracked near the top or the vent connection has come loose. There's no access...

    Galley Gray Water Tank Problem

I have a 2014 Bighorn 3570 RS that I'm having a problem with the galley gray tank leaking onto the coroplast and eventually overflowing. I haven't dropped the Coroplast yet to determine where the leak may be coming from and thought I would see if anyone else has had a similar problem before I start.

    Upgraded Tires

The maxxis tires have served me well. They have about 15,000 miles and still have some tread left. We are planning another long trip this summer and want to start the trip with new tires and brakes. Seems to make sense to upgrade to the higher rated Sailuns for not much more money.

    Upgraded Tires

I have a 2014 3570RS Bighorn that has Maxxis 235-80-16 tires that need replacing. I'm interested in replacing them with Sailun S637 235-85-16 and want to know if there will be any clearance issues due to the larger size. I have 110 lb rated wheels, so it should be a simple upgrade. Has anyone...

    Shower Doors

We have a 2014 Bighorn 3570RS that came with clear shower doors that we didn't particularly like. We noticed Heartland changed from clear glass doors to a frosted type glass sometime after our rig was manufactured. We found out, with Jim Beletti's assistance, the newer style doors were...

Interior slide finish in Bedroom - Bighorn 3570RS

I have a 2014 3570RS also and the unfinished edge on the bedroom slide is exactly the same as yours. Not noticeable unless the slide is in, but would still be nice if it had a finished edge on it.

Bighorn Buyer's Opinions Wanted: Refrigerator Poll (Residential-style or RV-style)

We have a 2014 BH 3570RS with the residential fridge. Getting the residential fridge was a requirement for us. If it had not been available, we would have purchased SOB. I agree with others in saying to keep both.

    King to Queen bed modification

We have a 2014 3570 Bighorn and just finished this same modification. I removed the plywood to expose the bed frame and decided to remove 10" of the framing from just one side. To me, this seems easier than having to cut both sides. I actually made all my cuts with the bed frame in place using...

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: Inverter for fridge problem I agree with Hunter11 that it looks identical to the original Magnum inverter. According to Art at HL customer service, the difference is the way it is programmed. The modified unit produces a square wave output (MSW) whereas the original produced a pure sine...

    SOLVED: Residential Fridge problem

Re: Inverter for fridge problem I have a 2014 Bighorn 3570RS with a residential refrigerator that have been having the same problems as so many others on this thread. My inverter would shut down soon after switching on, or would run for a while and then shut down. I called HL customer service...

    Ride Quality- Airbags

We also have Airlift and can't say anything but good about them. I recently added the on-board compressor with wireless controller and works very well. The quality of the ride is noticeably improved with the bags. We run 35 to 40 PSI when towing, about 5 when not.

Livingroom TV gets less channels than the bedroom

If Im not mistaken, a 3db signal loss is equivalent to 1/2 signal loss. I suggest running an external cable from the coax going to the bedroom TV directly to the living room TV and bypass all the inboard splitters and wiring. This should tell you if the difference in channel acquisition is due...

Change from King to Queen Bed

We have a 2014 Bighorn 3570RS and want to change the bed from king to queen. Has anyone done this and if so, what is involved in reducing the size of the platform? Our slide is electric, so I assume that would make the process easier. We plan to install a Sleep Number mattress once we figure out...

Washer / Dryer - what do you have?

We have the vented Splendide 2100XC and are very pleased with it. X3 on the drain pan and ditto on not believing the target decal. Mine was centered over a stud. I drilled a series of 1/8" holes from the inside to insure I didn't hit a stud or framing.

Changing from day/night shades to blinds?

We have a new BH 3570RS and are considering changing the day/night shades to residential style horizontal blinds. The style blinds we prefer are the faux blinds in a white or neutral color. I would appreciate any suggestions or comments from others who have gone down this road. One particular...

    Landing Gear sitting too low?

As a follow up to my original post about my landing gear sitting too low, I have confirmed my suspicions and wanted to share it with all that replied as well as anyone else that may benefit from it. Today I went to a local Heartland dealer who had 5 BHs with 6 point leveling systems. All 5 of...

    6 Point Level Up Question

Im the proud owner of a brand new BH 3570RS with a question about the 6 point level up system. My dealer was not too sure of the correct operation of the leveling system in the walk through, so I thought I would post my question here. The question is, is it normal for the rig to kneel on the...

looking for positive and negative comments

We have had our 2100XC for over two years and have had no problems at all. You have to understand the limitations of a combo unit such as length of time to wash and dry a load, load size limits, and we remove our garments before completely dry to help prevent wrinkling. When the unit goes...

    Landing Gear sitting too low?

Gary, the landing gear is fully retracted and is when I measured it being 6" from the ground. The landing gear must be different when it's part of the 6 point level up system than the landing gear without the 6 point system. The bottom of the rams are 8" below the drop frame. I looked it over...

    Landing Gear sitting too low?

Gary, would you mind measuring the distance from the bottom of the ram to the bottom of the frame on yours? DocFather, I dont think recycling them would change anything as the jack is fully retracted and cannot go in any further.

    Landing Gear sitting too low?

Hi All: Today, we brought home our brand new Bighorn 3570RS, which we are thrilled with so far. When we stopped at a rest area, I walked around the rig looking everything over and noticed the landing gear pods are only about 6 inches above the ground with the pods fully retracted. We rig is a...

6-Point Auto-leveling - Is it okay for wheels to be off ground?

I.m wondering if it's advisable to use the 6 point leveling system to jack the rig up high enough to change a flat tire? I read on Lippert's site not to do that, but I wondered if that is a liability concern or are there other reasons not to do it.

Possible new Heartland owner looking for suggestions.

Thanks for all the responses. I was pretty much sure that the tires were suspect, but the thing I'm most concerned about is the Norcold refrigerator.
