Thanks guys. Mike you were right on! Went out and took a wire brush to the cables and viola started right up. That's what I get for starting with the manufacturer instead of starting here with the guys who know what they are doing. You folks are the best!
My touch pad for my 6 point level up will not turn on. I can unplug the touch pad and plug back in and it will come on and work so-so. Some buttons will work and some won't. I called Lippert last week and after six phone calls and some time checking the voltage to the touch pad they determined...
Well you Heartland guys come through again as usual. I got home and could hear the EMS trying to reset but it would kick right back off. When I installed the EMS at the advice of someone on the forum I left the original incoming line the same length and just plugged it into the incoming side of...
Thanks Gus, I will check that out. I am assuming I can open up the EMS and will see the problem, correct? I have heard of others who have had this type of failure when the EMS saved the coach.
Thanks Dave, the park owner came out this morning and checked the pedestal and checked the plug at the trailer and found everything good to that point so it has to be inside the trailer somewhere. I will let you guys know what I find when I get home this evening. Thanks for the help on where to...
No Dave no error code on the EMS. That was the first thing I looked at when I realized that the whole park had power except for us. I am not sure if I even have a generator prep. Been too long ago that I bought the trailer. I did try turning off the breaker at the pedestal last night and turned...
Last night about 8:30pm we lost AC power in our Bighorn. DC lights still work but no TV, microwave, AC's or anything that runs on AC power. The EMS says I have power coming in 117V on line 1 and 125V on line 2. Since it was late and I had to get up early for work I just killed the breaker at the...
If you take 105 all the way to Brenham you can hit 290 to Austin. We live about halfway between Houston and Austin on 290. If you are headed to Granger you can take 95 out of Elgin up through Taylor. All that was pretty easy traveling last year when I came through there.
Jeff when we were up there we kept ours at Sycamore RV Park in Sycamore IL. If I remember right it was pretty reasonable and we had no problems there. The RVs are parked in front of the owners house so it seemed relatively safe.
Wish I had known! I could have helped out with the site checking while we were in Elkhart twiddling our thumbs for a week. I did look around for a new Heartland Gives Back focus and I have a couple of ideas when you get to that point. I am still bummed about missing Urbanna so we are looking...
Kenny,
I believe that is a thermistor that you are talking about. Mine did the same thing and I just bypassed it and wired the fans straight. Here is Texas all summer the fans need to be running all the time anyway to keep it cool. So far it has worked fine. I did unplug them during the winter...
Re: Hearland Why Not
It is sad that you would take a product off your list simply because you read something in a brochure and did nothing to check out what the reality is. If you had come to the forum and asked the question you might have found a number of people just like me, who went from...
Re: Heartland Owners Position Map Not Working
That is where I try to open it Jim. I am not sure what changed that caused it to suddenly stop working. When I go to tools and open the map it comes up but I have a blank screen where the map should be. If I update my location it tells me that I...
Re: Heartland Owners Position Map Not Working
Nope still nothing. I can click on show main map - nothing, Add/edit entry - nothing, delete entry - nothing. It allows me to do all these things but I still can't see a map. It used to work fine but started this a few weeks ago and I just thought...
Re: Heartland Owners Position Map Not Working
I am still not getting anything. No map or anything. I can update my position but I still get no map. Must not be holding my mouth just right.
May have spoken little too soon. We made it home from our trip but while pulling a 20' trailer with a tractor and shredder on it today I lost the lower gears and overdrive in my transmission. Looks like a BTS tranny is in the future for this truck. I was able to limp it home so no tow charges...
When we get home from this trip we will be about 285,000 on our 2002 Ford F250 crew cab diesel. We have had a couple of scares but both turned out to be minor fixes. New front hubs, new fuel return line and a couple of water pumps along the way and it has been a great truck. We would love to...
We really missed being there. First one we have missed in 4 years. We will have a lot of making up to do in Goshen next year. I am sure the totals on the Homes for Heroes will be great. I know the South Texas Chapter is going to be giving to them in October so this should carry on for a while I...
Re: Considering a 2014 BG 3650RL
You can bet if and when we can afford to upgrade it will certainly be a Heartland. We have been in our Bighorn 3580RL a little over 5 years now and still love it. We have had a major issue with it but Heartland customer service has gone above and beyond. Between...
Nancy & Dave,
I had to replace the glass in the dining room window. I took the frame off and took it to a local glass company and they ordered the glass and put it in for me. All I had to do was pick upi the frame and bring it home and re-install it in the window. It may be a little more...
Deb,
So sorry to have to bow out on the breakfast. My 80 year old mom fell the other day and broke her arm and a couple of bones in her face. She got banged up pretty good but as of right now looks like no surgery will be necessary. But, we are going to have to change plans and go to Alabama...
Re: 2014 - Building Homes for Heroes
As we are coming closer to the rally in Urbanna I wanted to bring this back out to remind everyone of the Heartland gives back initiative. Everyone has an opportunity to participate in this give back program. Take a look at post #12 to get the link to donate...
