The entry door on my 2018 Big Country has a problem with the plastic laminate on the inside of the door is cracking. Started as one or 2 and has just spread across the whole door.
‘Has anyone had this problem and what was the fix besides replacing the who’ll door?
Mystery solved
Just mis-marked in the 12v panel
Turns out the stove was a 15amp fuse marked “Refrig” found one other mis-marked also so most are correct now and if I ever have trouble again I know not to trust the labels.
‘How hard can it be? Maybe some guy at the factory just enjoys messing...
Yesterday I started looking for a hidden fuse , looked in the front compartment where the batteries are, looked behind the 12v fuse panel, looked behind the switch panel and found nothing.
‘When I got everything back together and powered up , it worked.
Im betting it’s somewhere in the 12v...
Tried to turn on my oven and there is no power, the ignighter won’t fire no digital display light, and the fan isn’t running, no power.
The top range works fine , both gas tanks are full.
Im looking for a fuse, the 12v panel does not have stove listed.
Ive called Heartland and there no help...
Has anyone tried lubing the waste water valves this way to keep them operating.
‘Seems like one would tilt the RV to one side to lower the dumps and run 2/3 gallons thru and operate the valve to coat them and then let the oil out and do the next. Then re winterize the p traps.
Seems I saw...
The switch for the cord real has gone bad, will not wind up only release. The switch is a Carling 20 amp 12v 1621 R
Needs to be exact so it will fit the box that encloses around it
Does Heartland sell parts?
This was bought for my last RV and won’t fit what I now have.
‘Used very little , could use a good wash as it has a few small bird droppings on it, would clean up like new.
It measures 179” long , almost 15’
It has a 10” drop that slides on the awning tube and can be rolled up and left on.
The...
Mine slide just about didn’t come in last time. Made some calls and took it to a shop in Goshen that I trust and have used before. The tech is sure it’s the motor on the bed slide side of the big electric slide.Too much weight for electric. His opinion is that’s it’s one big mistake heartland...
I can not locate the fuse to shut off the 2 electric slides on my Big Country.
‘I’ve pulled every 12 volt fuse in the box , and 3 that I’ve found in the front compartment.
This woluld be the fuse that shuts off the 2 slide controller boxes in the front compartment
Anyone know where to find this...
Ive got the same model 2018 and that slide just about wouldn’t come in last week. Seems like it’s been running slower than usual last time out.
‘I’m thinking motors or controller and have an appointment with a repair shop next month to get the repair.
After talking with a Heartland tech and Lippert After the electric connections are checkEd and ok then look at the controller and if it’s ok then the motors. Not a job I’m comfortable with so a shop that’s done work on the slide rollers in the past will work me in 9th of next month.
I‘ll just...
Have a large electric slide with the super slide in one end. When we were in Florida last April I thought it was slower than usual .
Today I had to open it up and when I hit the button it groaned and opened about 4“ and stoped, I got it back in and opened it again and it was noticeable slow and...
After another look I found the wear is the same on both sides . If this is an inflation issue on these Sailun tires maybe I should inflate to 110 , I run them around 105/106 cold .
Will start tire shopping
Noticed some strange wear on my tires. They have around 20 K miles and are about 4 / 5 years old.
‘I’m crazy about air pressure and check before each trip
Any guess as to what caused this wear?
Thanks for the comments, I’ve had it on for a few days while waiting to get out of winter and heading to Florida.
‘Will turn it off when we leave , I’m guessing it’s 110v
Dewinterized and waiting in the cold to leave for Florida in a few.
Ive got the furnace on and have never used the YETI system.
I know not to use the tank unless there’s water in them, but what about the Pump Line? Should I just leave it on all the time when the day temps are above freezing...
Have a large Furrion TV and up till now it’s works perfect.
‘This trip when we set the input to cable and scan it won’t find but 2 old time show channels, some how things got locked
When I scan this pops up “ Spectrum Emergency Alert System Channel “ and we only have 2 old show channels.
‘How do...
As things turn out my problem was the inverter/charger died and not sure about my batteries yet, they are at least 3 years old .
‘Hope to get back on the road tomorrow if the inverter /charger comes in and a battery test.
I had a Norcold 2118 that would not cool, so I had JC Refrigeration replace it with a 12v compressor type unit, have a look on there web site.
‘It seems to work great compared to the old gas absorption unit, set it on 3 and forget it, freezer is at 0 most of the time.
‘Lately it has been...
Thanks for the reply's
Don’t want to get in an overcharge situation so sounds like I’ll be ok as it will just help keep the batteries full.
They are always maintained and topped off before a trip and the fridge only draws around 10amp when it’s running.
Thanks

I found out the my 2017 F 350 only puts minimum amperage thru the charging pin in the 7 way trailer connecter. So I wired up one of my upfitter switches to supply 12v under a 20 amp fuse to the RV while traveling. I can switch it on and off . It’s fine for the wire size and can go up to 25amp...
Of coarse it can’t be simple
I took it apart and all the fins and blades are in good shape and all was tight.
‘Found a bunch of wires and cables that were down on top of the ceiling and thought that if I tied them up it would solve the vibration.
Wrapped them up and put it all back and started...
Just an update.
Cant find a ratchet thin enough to work.
‘Have a friend that made me a #2 driver wrench out of an Allen wrench that was narrow enough. Most seem to be broke off and won’t tighten down and some were installed at an angle and no way to get the wrench on them.
Called HL again and...
I have a 2018 BC 3560SS and lately the bedroom air has a bad vibration.
I have removed the fresh air vent covers and pressed around there with no results and also held a rod thru the air vents and no vibration there either.
‘So it has to be in or under the air unit.
Maybe someone has had this...
The thin ratchet won’t work, too thick by about a .25”.
‘Heartland wasn’t much help either, they suggested the ratchet and if they didn’t tighten up then remove the inside trim and hyper extend the slide to get at them from inside , and warned me not to go to far as the slide will fall out...
Actually an Allen wrench was my first thought and then found the thin ratchet and will try it first .
‘If it doesn’t work I’ve got a friend that can make something out of an Allen wrench as I’m on the road.
That tool that’s shown is way too big, there is only about an inch.
Channel locks would...
Got one very similar, tried to pick the best built one I could find.
I just hope it will be strong enough to get them to turn.
Will report back next week when I get it
Thanks

I noticed on my 2018 BC 3560SS that just about all the screws fastening the rollers down are starting to back out. Only about an inch clearance and the are #2 square. I’ve got a small ratchet for extremely tight places ordered. I’m worried that I won’t be able turn them with this little device...
I called and spoke with Jeremy. Very knowledgeable and had all the answers.
I miss identified my model fridge , it’s a Norcold 2118 or should I say” Norwarm”
I choose the 12 v compressor type $1300 plus $400 installation
around 10 amp draw, 51% duty cycle , 3 to 4 hrs install time , they...
So Hockster, they convert the original fridge and remove all the original guts and replace it with a 12v compressor ?
Sounds very interesting , did you have this done or know anyone that has done this?
Ill be checking it out
Thanks
BD
I’ve got the big Norcold 2010 “ I think” double door gas absorbsion that is not cooling well. I’ve got extra fans inside the fridge and in the outside containment that don’t seem to do much.
Im wondering if anyone knows someone that can do the change from gas to residential type if possible...
