What's the biggest lift I can put on my Elkridge 255 Fifth Wheel?

I pull it with my dodge ram 2500 , but, the truck has a 6" lift and 37" tires.

When I tow my fifth wheel, i'm putting too much weight on the rear axle.

I'd like to install the spacer blocks Dexter sells on my camper.

My question is, whats the biggest spacer blocks I can use, and, if possible, do you know what part numbers in particular they are?

I want to make i get the right spacers.

I know some of you are opposed to lifting campers. I'm looking for input just from those that can answer my questions in particular. Thank you.

:)

This may be more then you want to do but might be something to consider...

Your trailer is light so blocks might be OK, but this would be the best long term modification that you would never have to worry about failing.

This might be what l would do to do the job right.

Make a box out of 3"×6" steel tubing then mount the spring hangers to that. Then do the cross supports from one side to the other to reinforce the crappy hangers.
Then cut everything off the bottom of the rv and mount this in place.

Sorry for my crappy drawing but it was a quick mock-up.

Specs say you are at a height of 11.8 so 6" would put you at 12' 2" most of our Landmarks and Bighorns are at 12' 3" so you would be fine there...

Just an idea
Take it or leave it.

Then i would also put the Lippert Aluminum Quad steps on it.

Thank you, i've seen posts/videos by another guy that did that to his rig and it looked awesome. he had a much bigger, heavier rig though .. i think a much higher lift than me too. that looked awesome though.

i'm not looking to spend that kind of money though. :)

This is my first rig, and, I'm sure it won't last more than a year or two before i go bigger.

i just wanna take some stress off that back axle.

i like the ladder idea.
