I have done a search and can find little info on this except for one thread over a year ago. I really like the Sundance 2800 and 2900. We would like to live in it for at least six months at a time and more likely nine months. So both those who have owned one for awhile and for the company...
for a little more storage space we converted the "blank" drawer space below the sink to a hinged face panel with a "catch-all" for odds and ends.
the hardware is available at home-stores. heartland was kind enough so provide the drawer face and handle - we really appreciated that!
another idea we used was to cover the bottom screen of the door with a heavy plastic tile used to cover ceiling light fixtures. it allows light in and protects the screen from the paws of our dog.
we also added a handle "bar" - available from several retailers. this makes pulling the door...
here are two modifications that we found helpful. we liked being able to slide the chairs a bit further back from the table and since i have trouble climbing stairs - the handrail was a great addition.
not having a shelf by the bed was one of the few things we wanted to change in our 2009 Sundance 3300sk. here's how our son solved that issue for us. hope the attachment can be viewed...:)
Hi there,
My name is Neal, wife Kam and 4 kids. We are seriously looking into getting a 5th wheel and after months of research have narrowed our search down to Heartland. We were close to pulling the trigger on a Sunnybrook Brookside but I like what I see and hear about Heartland.
We drive...
Picked up the new 2998RB this weekend, and we couldn't be happier.
Here is a shot of the new unit
A quick question....
Is there a master cut off switch for the electrical?
We are looking at toy hauler type 5th wheels. I called the factory and was told the 3300 RCB would not have a built in gen. Can a gen prep be special ordered for this model? Also, will there be more actual living space than the Cyclone 3010 5th wheel?
Thanks for any help.
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and to Heartland products. I'm on my second Keystone trailer and have been pretty happy with both of them.
We're thinking about the Cyclone 3010 and was wondering if anyone has any info. on them. We dry camp 99% of the time, so the toy hauler offers large...
I currently own a 2008 F250 Super Duty with the 6.4 D crew cab 4x4 SRW. I was ready to purchase a Big Country 2950rk. After reading this forum and really looking into the weight issues I found that My truck weight is 8000 with a full tank and just me, it has a 10000 lb GVWR that leaves only 2000...
We have a 2007 Sundance 2900 mk. And have discovered that this unit came with a different crank up TV antenna> We thought it was a Wineguard. but apparently not, therefore the wingman digital addition for this antenna will not fit. Please provide me with a manufatures name of the antenna...
Does anyone know the answer to this question? We bought this unit May 2008 this is a 2009 unit.....and at the time we were told it was a heated underbelly ( by the dealer sales dept) the website for Sundance also appeared to be saying it was, I called our dealer's service dept and he could not...
Hi all we have owned this camper since May of 09 up until recently we thought the underbelly was heated along with being enclosed (that's what the dealer/sales told us) but after reading a few things on this sight I'm worried it may not be, I called the dealer's service dept and they said they...
Well, where do I start ?
First I saw a Sundance going East on I 20 in TX a few miles from Lorraine TX on Monday am, then 3 BH's all going East on I 10 in TX at different times on Monday, Then later on saw a BC going east also on 10 in TX on Monday, Wednesday am saw a BH going west on 10 in TX...
We're looking at a 3300RLB as well as some BC's. I have a mid profile currently and it has roughly the same front basement size as the Sundance, but my front compartment is twice as large plus I have a HUGE rear storage compartment where I keep coolers, extra water, grill, and other misc heavy...
We are looking to make a purchase this year on one of your sundance models looking at 3000 RK. When will they be out
and what dealer in Washington State would have these on order
or any 2010 models. Thanks Ray:)
I have been looking at this type of toy hauler for some time. I was leaning toward a FR Wildcat until I found out that the max load in the garage area is only 800 lbs. I wish to carry my Honda Goldwing with me, and it weights around 900 lbs. I have been unable to find out the load rating for the...
I placed an order last week for a new 2010 Sundance 3000RK. At the time, there was no information published and the dealer assured me that it was the 2900RK with just a new number. As I was perusing Heartland's website tonight I noticed that the floor plan for the 3000RK had been added. I was...
Being new I have done a search for this but seem to have missed it. The directions say to close the upper (red) valve and the lower (blue) valve and the leave the middle valve open. In my Prowler TT I just had to close the middle valve for the by-pass. Can I just close the middle valve on the...
Well, I jumped in and did it. Dealer is installing Reese PRO 15K . Does this sound like a good hitch for this unit? Any other commects re: the Sundance would be appreciated.
Does anybody own a Sundance that has factory installed shock absorbers? I ordered my 2009 2900MK with shocks. When it arrived in Dec 08 it did not have the shocks on it. The dealer agreed to obtain them from Heartland and install them at no charge since I had essentially already bought them...
Hi all,
well we bought the xlt 24rt sundance 5th wheel at LaMesa rv dealers, Tucson.
Printed out check list spent 3 hours pdi and found some minor faults and got them repaired.
Took delivery and as I had explained to Lamesa I would be heading to Livingston Texas where I would be storing the...
New here and trying to get some info. Have TT and looking to get 5er. Looking at the 2998RB. Like many things about the trailer but what I thought was wood on first look is wood covered by plactic wood grain film. It is coming unstuck, the trim on the ceiling is loose in two places, and the trim...
Hi all.
I am from Ireland and recently retired. In June 07 I purchased a 28 foot class c rv. As a visitor I have been using the rv off and on for the last 20 months.
We have had to park as close to tourist attractions and use local transport into central points, also we have had to unhook for...
I have a customer looking to upgrade from his Cougar to a 09 Sundance 3300RLB. He is also in the market for a new truck.
He is interested in your opinions on trucks to purchase.
He is looking at getting a Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel. I assured him that it was plenty of truck to handle the...
Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, but have been a frequent visitor. I have a 04 F250 4x4 extended cab short box 3.73 LS axel. I'm new to the 5th wheel setup. We are moving from a TT to the FW. So, please be gentle on me. I'm haveing difficulty understanding on how to figure out the weight...
I have a 2008 3400 Bighorn (#1046) with a Trail Air Hitch. I am considering purchasing a Sundance 2800. Will I be able to switch the standard Sundance pin box for the Trail Air off the Bighorn?
Just curious of your thoughts on these two units. I had a Jayco Eagle which I loved but my kids are older (only have one left in the home) and thought it was time to get rid of the bunkhouse. Yet I need room for at least one child. The dealer that has these units are touting a rebate of $5000...
Hello All,
I am a new Sundance owner. I picked up my 2009 Sundance 2900MK last week. I look forward to our first outing. Haven't figured out where to go first but am anxious to try it out. I have been reading the forum postings since last August but haven't submitted much yet. Just wanted to...
I was Eastbound on IH-10 in the Texas Hill Country between Kerrville and Junction about 9:15 this morning. Going Westbound were 4 Sundance fifth wheels, spaced about 10 minutes apart. I was shocked to see two, but then number three and four came through.
Just put a 2009 3300SK on hold and wanted some feedback. This "in stock" unit has the 15" wheels and I'm assuming less than 6000# axles. I see the option of 16" wheels and 6000# axles. Assuming I'm stuck with 15" wheels should I be expecting some sort of problems? In other words what are the...
I have just ordered a 2010 Sundance 2998RB! Problem is, I don't know what it will look like. My dealer indicated the exterior graphics have changed. He also mentioned that there were other changes. Can I get some specifice on the changes as well as a picture of the exterior graphics?
I just...
We have a Sundance 2900MK. We have a 32" flat screen TV that sits on a cabinet against the bathroom wall. The cabinet space is open on two sides. Does anyone have any ideas on how to permanently attach the TV to the cabinet, wall or ??? so that it stays put when traveling? We now move it to...
We came to Rayford for the Thanksgiving feast and last night a new Sundance pulled in. I have been keeping an eye on it to talk to the owners, but they are gone right now.
Their arrival makes four Heartlands in the park.

Hi all,
This is a first post for me. We are considering a North Trail 31QBS or a Sundance 310. They are the same floor plan. Which is one of the best for people with kids I have seen. Any how, my question is what is the difference between the two labels, if any?
Also, I have been talking to...
Check out the Modification forum for more details. (Similar Title) I'm having problems and want to know if anyone else with this big of a Sundance has had this issue and how they resolved it.
I thought this subject tied in well w/ Towing.
:confused:I have a Sundance 3200 5th wheel hooked to a Ford 250 4x4. I'm having problems the rear hanging up even on slight grades. I tore off a stabilizer jack before my first trip. Any suggestions?
Pictures added.
October 28th...more pictures on level ground. Camper is about 8.5" off...
My dealer has just mounted a 27" widescreen TV in my Sundance 5th wheel, the problem is it apears that the first time I hit a bump the TV will be on the floor, mounting bracket and all. Are there any other Sundance 3200ES owners out there that has had a TV wall mounted in it's alotted space in...
