Where do you winter, why and for how long?
We're looking for a new place to winter this year--maybe something along the Gulf Coast. We've done the Arizona thing for the last 3 years. We're looking for decent full service campgrounds capable of holding our 40' Landmark at a reasonable rate (around $600/mo). Also would be interested in moving around a bit to see more sights. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Rockport, tx. I like the area, the fishing, and the people in the park. We stay about 4 months.

X2 on Rockport! We usually will go down into the RGV for a while, mainly to socialize with the Heartlanders down there, but Rockport is our favorite. Not as crowded, and all the fresh shrimp you care to eat! We've been to FL, only spent about a month there, went for a wedding, & had to get back home, it's more expensive than TX.

Florida! We spent 4 years in TX and while we really enjoyed the area and friendly locals we decided to try FL. Florida seems so much greener and scenic. We stay just north of Tampa along the Gulf in Port Richey. Once the awning is extended, it stays out all winter. Plenty to do including great Grouper fishing and fantastic beaches all along the Gulf. Plenty of shopping and eateries.

We stay In Port Aransas TX. at Pioneer resort. Great place, friendly people.
And it is just a short trip to Aransas Pass and Rockport.

We have wintered in Zephyrhills, FL for last 8 yrs and have enjoyed it. 30 miles NE of Tampa, 45 miles from the coast so it's out of that high rent zone, 70 miles to Disney, Orlando. However, since we've spent summer traveling in West we are trying Tucson this coming winter. Interesting, Arizona looking to leave and us looking to go to Arizona. The change is what we enjoy.

Not Florida, but for a golfer it is heaven. We winter at Willow Tree RV Resort (http://willowtreervr.com/), Myrtle Beach, SC. The resort is actually just north of Myrtle Beach (9 mile) in Longs, SC. One of the finest RV Resorts in South East if not the best. If you have never been to Willow Tree you've certainly missed out on a good one. We stay for 4 to 5 months, just depending on the weather back home and how we feel. Every site is hugh and can handle any size RV. Just ask anyone on the forum who has been there.
