Hey all, I just heard today about the fires in the Jackson area (Butte Fire). I have contacted Chuck and Donna Hale and learned that the power is currently out at the Jackson Rancheria RV Park due to the fire. The fire however is and has been moving away from the RV Park. The hotel and park are currently an evacuation site for people being displaced from the fire.

I spoke with Stacy who's house is in the line that the fire is moving, so keep her in your thoughts and prayers! We will keep everyone updated on the rally on this thread, so at this time, stand by, to stand by.

I was just thinking about the rally this morning with nothing else but the heavy smoke issue in mind. All Amador county schools are closed today due to the fire.

I am also concerned about the smoke issues especially coming in on Tuesday. Stacy, what's the dead line for cancelling without it causing you issues.

Thanks

****FIRE UPDATE**** I just got off the phone with Josh who is the manager of Jackson Rancheria RV Park. Josh said that currently ALL reservations through Monday have been canceled. The park is still out of power and the park has not been given any date of when power will be restored. Mother Nature is completely in control right now and everything is dependent on the fire. The entire park is an evacuation site and is reserved for that and that only at this time. The park has requested that individuals not call as they are very understaffed right now and EXTREMELY busy with disaster relief operations.

I will be calling Jolene (the group coordinator) on Sunday for an update from her and Josh. They said that no monetary penalties will be assessed to anyone for a late cancelation at all and Stacy still has everyone's money and if need be, refunds can be given, but at this time, lets wait till Sunday afternoon and see what happens. In looking at the list, Stacy appears to be the only one that was planning on coming in on Sunday. Many are planning on coming in on Monday and Tuesday. The plan is to have everyone check back in here Sunday afternoon. I hope to have an update then, of when the park will be able to resume normal business.

BAD news everyone, The park just called Stacy to notify us that they are canceling the Rally. Sorry to everyone, Stacy was allowed to return home and we hope she and her place stays safe. We are really sad, we were REALLY looking forward to this one. Maybe next year... Looking at the fire updates, it has grown in size considerably.

Stacy will be mailing out refunds in the next few weeks.

WOW
We were really looking forward to it also, and have the Rig all shined up and ready to go.
Maybe we can put something together soon.
Hope Stacy and everyone else up there is doing OK.

Stacy, be safe, we are thinking about you and all that live in the area.

We will miss not having this Rally and all the wonderful Heartland Club Members that would have attended one of the Largest Chapter Rallies.

IF we are interested in relocating the rally, I made some calls and so far have found that Rolling Hills Casino RV park in Corning, Ca. (2 hours North of Sacramento on I-5 has 20 spaces open for next weekend. If we could use a lesser level of park, I know that the Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs in Oregon House (where I am currently staying) has loads of open spaces (W&E only). Oregon House is about 30 miles East of Marysville. Non members CAN stay at Thousand Trails Facilities.

We would be interested in attending if relocated. Although it wouldn't feel right if Stacy could not attend after all of her hard work in putting it together. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stacy, her family, everyone who has been affected by this horrible blaze, as well as the firefighters who are working so hard to get control of it. Stacy please don't worry about the refunds until you are safe and unpacked! Nothing is more important than your safety and well being. Hoping that this will be contained soon and relocating next weekend would be a possibility. If the fire is contained and the threat has been lifted maybe getting away from the smoky air may be just what Stacy would need. :) We are happy to help with whatever can be done.

Hey all, Kelly and I have put together a very impromptu Campout to help with the last minute cancellation of the Jackson Rally due to the fires. It is at Seven Feathers RV Resort in Canyonville Oregon. Here is the Campout info. Please join us if you can!

We would love too but the drive and work won't let us this year have a great camp out ..... And thank you for the invite ...
