This week's update...

Sweat Shirts will be ordered the first week of May to allow enough time to get, them done and shipped to me before we leave on our trip. We have plans before the rally so we need the sweat shirts to arrive before we leave for that.

If you want sweat shirts and just haven't gotten around to letting me know, don't wait too much longer.

Boat Trip- I got confirmation that we will pay at the dock before boarding the boat. It can hold 40 people so we still have lots of room for more people to come with us.

Reservations - We still have spaces left out of our block for people to reserve. We would love to have you join us if you will be in the area or just want to come to the coast and cool off a little.

Activities for during the rally...

I need to let them know soon how many people will want to do this. Please post or email me ASAP with your answer.

The number 1 most requested rally activity was a boat tour of Coos Bay. I have gotten the information so...

;)The tour is about 2 hrs long. We need a minimum of 20 people to reserve our spot and weekend spots book up FAST. Cost is about $30 per person. The first 24 people can get on the shuttle the casino will provide since the boat leaves from Charleston about 20 min from the campground. If we have more people, that is fine, but they would drive themselves.

So... Do we have at least 20 people who want to take this tour? Vote yea or nay either here or by email so I can let our event planner know and she can make our reservation.

;)Golf was the second highest in the survey. Our welcome bags from the casino will have several goodies, but there will be special green fees for a couple of the courses. You will call and make your own tee time reservations and provide your own transportation.

i don't know what else we might come up with that doesn't duplicate something offered during the Jamboree, but we are still checking a couple of things.

:cool:If you are thinking about coming to the rally but haven't made reservations yet, let me know you are considering joining us. We are not full yet, but July is closer than you think, especially if you plan to go to the Regional Rally over the 4th. You could leave Sparks, NV with a couple of others who are planning to do that and have your own caravan to Oregon for this rally and continue on to WA with us in another caravan. Doesn't that sound like fun!

Happy Spring!

Kristy

PS if you want sweatshirts, let me know.

Kristy, please include us on your list for the boat ride, I hope the bay will be calm that day. Additionally, I have paid Mill Casino for the Jubilee and they have already billed my credit card. Looking forward to a cool July in Oregon.

Hi Kristy, Our schedule has changed so we will be able to arrive on July 10th instead of the 11th. I have changed our reservations with the park. See you then.

I will make that change. There are going to be enough of us there early that we could have a pre-rally.

Anybody going to the Oregon Rally from the Sparks, Nevada Regional rally, like I am? I plan to drive from Reno to Susanville to Weed (89/I5). Overnight in Weed and on to Florence, Or. for 3 days at TT South Jetty before the rally in North Bend. Would be fun to caravan.

That's Great Bruce and Carol! I put you down for sweatshirts and the boat tour.

The list at the top of the thread is all caught up.

We have 29 people signed up for the boat tour which is fantastic!!! and the McGuires and McLaughlins take us up to 23 for the rally. PJ and Karol won't be bringing their trailer, but they will be at the rally events and have a motel room close by.

That means we have 7 sites left for this rally.

The sweatshirt order will go in at the end of next week (5/2) or early the next week. Be sure to get your order in now.

Take Care Everyone.

Thanks John. I appreciate your kind words. We are looking forward to this trip too. I'm anxious for my school year to end so we can get going! Of course the bad part of that is that I have 4 major projects that I have to finish before school is out in seven weeks.

Cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, updates on the truck and trailer, exercising the dogs and listening to me complain about how long it is until school is out... LOL

OK we just back from a beautiful weekend at the coast just north of the rally location. Now we really can't wait!

I need to order the sweatshirt hoodies within the next week or so.

Is there anyone out there who would like to order a hoody and hasn't told me yet?

Who is still thinking about signing up for the rally but hasn't or can't do it yet?

I need to figure out how many rally name badge hangers to order. I want to have enough but I don't want to order a lot more than we need.
Thanks,
Kristy

We are really glad you can make it, but a little sad Mandy won't be having puppies.

Kristy:
FYI and for anyone that is interested, I will be bouncing between the 2 Thousand Trails Preserves in Florence and Newport bi-weekly (due to high usage, 2 weeks is the most you can stay at these TT preserves in the high season) through August 20th, post the Oregon rally. God's natural air conditioning on the Oregon Coast should keep me away from California's hot summer heat.

Hi!
School is almost out and I am ready to go camping, so here is an update.

We just got our 24th rig signed up today. Welcome to Joe and Colleen Steiner from Grants Pass, OR.

I have ordered the sweatshirts and the rally badge hangers.

We have approval to set up our own private dog run next to our party site since the park's run is down at the other end of the park. So, if we have someone who has the temporary fence or x-pens to set up, we can do that. Our rig will be packed for a month long trip so we can't put in all of our pens due to weight. Just something to think about if anyone is interested.

Don't forget to set up your appointment with Porter's in Coos Bay to take advantage of the reduced rate for repairs around our rally dates. I don't know for sure what the deal is yet, but they promise quick turn around on the little repairs people might need. You do have to make your reservations ahead of time though.

As soon as school is out, I will be working out details for meals with Porter's since they are helping to sponsor us. More on that later.

We have 7 sites left for the rally and reservations have to be made by June 25th to get the special site rate and be guaranteed to be in our area for the rally. Be sure to check the reservations directions at the top of the thread to make sure it goes smoothly. After the 25th, reservations can still be made, but it will be at the usual rate and might not be at our end of the park.

If you plan to stay for the Jamboree as well, let the reservation specialist know when you make your reservations. They will want you to pay for that at that time, but it will also make sure you don't have to change sites between our rally and the Jamboree.

Also, don't forget to make your reservations for the WA rally too! Join the caravan through Oregon and Washington between the two rallies.

That's all for now. Give your friends a call to remind them to make reservations!

Hi--

We can bring an extra xpen. Are Porter's coming to the park for on-site minor repairs, or do we need to take the unit in?
