Please check the first post. I updated a couple of things and added the Raffle to the description. Proceeds from the raffle will be used to buy extra raffle prizes (actually I will buy them in advance and use profits to pay me back). Any remaining profits will be used to have seed money for our next event.

Thanks Kristy. The casino is calling me about the tickets. I'll call them back and confirm they are not moving me from the rally site to a Jamboree site.

We got a call from the Casino earlier today and have now paid for our Jamboree tickets. We are supposed to be in the same site for all 10 nights. I didn't confirm that we will get a lower rate during the jamboree but that is my expectation.

Here is a copy of some of the rally info I have so far. If I have missed your reservation, your sweatshirt order details and/or boat trip request, please let me know so I can fix it on my master list.

If you would like to order sweatshirts or sign up for the boat tour, both are still available. We are trying to get to the minimum of 20 to have a boat full. We have 12 people so far. We will hopefully make at least 20 in time to get a tour reserved that Saturday.

I removed the table and will post an updated one in a later post.

Paul and Candace, I think there are 3 or 4 others who are coming from the regional rally to the Oregon Rally (not us :( ). There is a Washington rally in Spokane on the 25th through 28th, if you'd be around for that. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your Key Largo.

Paul and Candace,
Glad to have you at our rally! Be sure to check out the group coming from the regional rally. You might get into your first HL caravan!

Let me know if you have questions about our rally activities, sweatshirts, boat tour, raffle, etc. We would be happy to answer any questions you have. I did add you to the boat tour list.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Thanks folks! Yes, we planned on meeting those people at the regional rally and seeing what they had planned in traveling to Oregon. Hopefully, they'll let us tag along. We also will be attending the Washington rally but will not be caravaning to Spokane.

Thanks again for your help - Paul

Paul,

A bunch of us are attending the Oregon Rally, staying and attending the Oregon Jamboree and then traveling up north to the Washington Rally in a caravan. We are stopping half way and staying a few days (Sunday July 20th through Wednesday July 23rd) at Maryhill State Park along the Columbia River Gorge. I am not sure if they have any sites available yet, but if so, you should get one reserved and join us. A caravan of Heartland products will be a cool sight!

There are several of us who plan on caravanning from the Regional to the Oregon Rally. We have a stopover planned for the night of July 7th at Yreka RV Park and a night or two at 7 Feathers, then on to the rally. Anyone who would like to join us for any part of the trip is plenty welcome. Look me up in Sparks or PM me for additional details. The more the merrier.

We are up to 20 reservations!

Welcome Dick and Diane Garcia and Bill Knight!

We have spaces for 30, so there are still spots available. We would love to have more people come join us.

Kristy

PS Don't get left out in the cold without your Oregon Rally sweatshirt or miss the boat when we tour Coos Bay. Email or message me if you want either one or both.

Larry and Liz, I have made a mistake somewhere. In one place I have you down for the boat trip, in another place I don't have it marked. Can you clear that up for me?

Thanks,
Kristy

Kristy: Talked to the folks at the Mill Casino and they said if I did not purchase the RV Jamboree tickets prior to mid April, they would not hold my Jamboree site. I bought them. I was told I would remain in the same site as the rally.

Well, that is interesting... I had not been told that, but I'm OK with it for us anyway.

So, sounds like those of us who are staying need to call and get our Jamboree tickets.

Thanks John,

Kristy

I just talked to Amber in reservations, here is the scoop:Clarification: If you plan to stay for the Jamboree, you will need to pay for those tickets when you make your rally reservations. That will keep you in the same site through both events.

4/4/2014 For those who have already made rally reservations - you need to call NOW (by the middle of April) to pay for your Jamboree tickets to keep your site and guarantee tickets for the Jamboree will be available.

Oregon Jamboree: (not an HL event)

The Oregon RV Jamboree will be taking place after our rally. It is a separate event with its own fees. You should be able to stay in the same site through that event if you sign up for the rally and Jamboree at the same time before the park fills up. It will fill up, so don't wait too long. If you get someone who doesn't know about our rally and the arrangement we have to keep our sites through the Jamboree, ask to speak to another reservation specialist. They have a couple of new people on the desk.

Call the Reservation Number to let them know if you plan to stay for the Jamboree and pay for your tickets.

Here is the 2014 Oregon RV Jamboree Brochure as supplied by the Mill Casino and RV Park. It is a tri-fold front and back brochure if that helps make sense out of it. There is some basic info on the Mill website as well.

Here are the changes I just made to the top post. Check out what is going on and let me know if there is something you want like sweatshirts or the boat tour so I can add it to my records.

Rally Activities (so far)

Rally Sweatshirts
(order to be placed in May)
Found out that hooded sweatshirts will be $30 each ($33 for 2XL and $34 for 3XL) to cover my cost plus shipping from Martin Marketing. They are the people who do all of Heartland's signature apparel. We will be going with blue for the color and men's sizes. I have to take orders and pre-payment from people before I place my order with Brad at Martin Marketing.

Please email me at kristy @ crownz4.com (remove the spaces before and after the @) with your order including sizes. I will return your email and include my mailing address so you can send me a check to cover your order.

Boat Tour of Coos Bay
Trying to schedule for Saturday late morning or early afternoon. Its about 2 hours long, leaves from Charleston (30 min from the park) and will be $30 per person. We need to have at least 20 people to reserve the boat.

Post, PM or email me with your wish to participate in the boat tour.

Potluck(s)

  • We will do an appetizer potluck Friday night.
  • Porter's RV in Coos Bay will be providing part of Saturday night's dinner. I will announce that when I find out. We will still be doing potluck for at least part of that meal.
  • People were so happy with our breakfast burrito farewell last year, we are going to try to do it again this year.

Raffle
Please bring a $15-$20 prize to donate in the traditional rally raffle. We will do this Sat. Night after dinner. Tickets will be sold Sat. For $1 each or 6 for $5 from Mark.

Our 21st attendee has signed up. Welcome back to Oregon Gary and Diana!
2 more have signed up for the boat trip - the Garcia's will not be missing the boat... ;)

Kristy

Oops! Ditrich's didn't want to miss the boat either. Put you down for the trip Rod and Kelly!
Zumwalt's are on the boat with nice warm sweatshirts!

Table removed because it is out of date. See top post for current information.

Details Details Details

Everything is subject to change but here goes....

Golfers - will have a block of time Friday before appetizers and Saturday morning before the boat trip. You will need to make your own Tee Time arrangements. Just get together and let me know what you decide. I bet some of you are out the day you arrive before the rally even starts!

Fishermen - I couldn't keep you away from the water even if I wanted to! Seek each other out and let me know what's going on when you figure it out.

I will have a volunteer signup sheet like I did last year so people can sign up for the duties they would like to help with. I know I can count on all of you for anything, which makes this so much more fun for us. We appreciate how people pitch in so we can have fun during the rally along with everyone else.

Friday Check-in and Refreshments - Let's wait until NOON to do this so packets and sweatshirts are ready for everyone. We will have ice chests with water, pop and beer at our site (#25-26) for as long as it lasts. Feel free to bring a chair and sit around in our site to visit with everyone as they register. This usually runs right into the next event....

Friday Appetizers - time to be determined
Just bring your favorite appetizer (enough for at least 6-10 people) to share with the group and whatever beverage you want to drink, if it isn't already in the ice chests. We will all get so full most of us won't go home to fix dinner!

Saturday AM - muffins for everyone in our site starting about 8:00 or so. Bring your coffee and a chair on down to visit with everyone. Please drop off your raffle prize donation at this time.

Saturday Tour of Porter's RV in Coos Bay - time to be determined. A shuttle for 24 will take us there. We may need to do some carpooling too.

Boat Tour of Coos Bay 1 PM (arrive at 12:30 for check-in) We will have a shuttle for 24 leaving the park at NOON. We have 27 people reserved so far, so we can set up transport to get everyone to Charleston when we get together Saturday morning.

Looks like we will be back just in time to get things ready for the potluck/raffle that night!

Saturday Dinner - will probably be at the yurt. Time to be determined - details still in the planning stages.

Raffle - Buy your tickets throughout the day. We will draw tickets after dinner - then let the trading begin!!!;)

Sunday AM - Breakfast burritos in the yurt. Time to be determined but early enough so those who are leaving can get an early start on the road. Take it to go if you need to.

That's all for now!
