Winchester Bay Rallly

We've just registered at Winchester Bay for the June 11-14 rally. We're in site 77. We are: Vern and Dale Smith, we have a 2009 Bighorn 5th wheel, 3400RL. We pull it with a 2007 Dodge truck. Our email is: vern_dale@hotmail.com. (That's an underscore between vern and dale! We live in Monmouth, OR, but are snowbirds, so we are currently in Casa Grande, AZ, enjoying the sun!!! We're really excited and looking forward to the rally.

Kristy, I was hoping that those who like to golf will bring their stix. There is a very nice 9 hole course in Reedsport. If others will join me I would be glad to set it up. We will also go play in the dunes. If anyone has not done this, it is a kick. We are looking forward to the Rally. The Oregon coast is beautiful and fun.

I'd be up for some golf. I've been carrying around a set of clubs for the past year and have not used them since we left Colorado.

Fiddler43,
That's fantastic! I'll get your info updated later tonight and send you my email. Don't forget to vote in the poll on funding...

Take Care and try not to get sunburned!

Kristy: Sorry, but with an inadvertent stroke of the mouse I deleted your email message to us before reading it. Please resend it and I'll be more careful. Vern said he might be interested in golf if the price is right and the sun is shining!

Welcome Diane and David (brickman) who just registered. That brings us to 18 so far with the possibility of a few more.

OK Everyone, if you haven't seen the Fund Raising thread in the last couple of days, the vote is in and the winner, but just barely, is the long sleeved Tee. Please post, email, or PM me if you want to buy shirts to help pay for the rally. If we get about 25 or so people who want to buy shirts, that would probably make enough profit to be worthwhile. We'll also do a raffle or two while we are there to make a little more money and because they are a lot of fun. We need each rig to bring a raffle prize worth $10 - $15 to contribute to the fun.

We'll do an appetizer meet and greet on Friday afternoon. Last year, people brought so much food for that, most of us didn't need to fix dinner! Sat. night will be the pot luck dinner. I'll probably get the meeting hall again so we have plenty of space and power for the many crockpots that seem to appear from nowhere! I'll start a food thread later so we can spread out the types of offerings.

I plan to provide all of the paper products like plates, napkins, bowls, cups, utensils, etc., some snacks to have around for visitors to our site (all of you hopefully), soft drinks, water, and a limited amount of other beverages. I'll rent the hall for both days in case we need it for the appetizers too. We'll get wood for our nightly campfire and lots of ice for food and drinks. One thing I guarantee we won't run out of is food, if last year's rally is any indication!

We can spend the day Sat. with some off playing golf (contact dbarnard if you want to play), sitting and visiting, sight seeing, or doing any of a lot of other possibilities in the area.

Its getting closer!!!!!!

It looks like we could have another couple joining us. Jim and Jan Holcomb asked if we have room for one more. They'll get back to me when they make the reservation.

We have room for lots more than 1 more!

Don't assume that you won't be able to get a site just because spring is approaching. Call the park was soon as you know you can come, then let me know what your dates, contact info, and site # are. We would be happy for more people to join us.

Re: Winchester Bay Rallly

Well,
We had a great time at the NorCal rally and really enjoyed meeting lots of new people and catching up with some old friends. I know a few couples from Oroville have registered for the Oregon Rally after having so much fun down there.

Could those people who have registered please post, email or PM me with their info? I know I talked to all of you, but in the busyness of that rally, I may have forgotten someone or mismatched names and user names. I want to make sure I get the right info to Dale B for the name badges and have everyone listed in the right spots for the right days.

Brickman. I got your info. Thanks.

Everyone
: Could you please send me your Heartland Owners Club Member Number? That's the number on the plaque Jim B sent you when you joined. If you don't have a number, you can join between now and then or join at the rally if you would like. There are several benefits to joining, one of which is that your dues help defray the costs of setting up a rally. To see the rest of the benefits, click on Owner's Club at the top of the page. The more members we have, the more we can afford to do for rallies.

Another way to help with rally expenses is to participate in the raffle by bringing one prize worth $15 or so per rig.

I'm also doing Oregon Rally Long Sleeved T-Shirts for $20 sizes S-XL, $22 for 2XL or 3XL.
I got the prices from Martin Marketing today. We can turn a little profit by ordering 20 shirts and a pretty good profit by selling 30 or more. So far, I have orders for 12.

People last year really liked their sweatshirts and one just commented that he wished he had gotten one when he had the chance. Don't miss out on this chance to have a nice souvenier of the rally.

So,
Please send me your info especially if you signed up in the last couple of days.

Please send me your Owners Club Number if you have one.

Please send me your t-shirt order. I will need to know how many of which sizes you would like. I'll let you know when and where to send payment after I make sure we will have enough ordered to turn a profit.

Thanks!

Possible Rally Activity

Hi Everyone,

I was checking out the casinos in the area of Winchester Bay today and found that The Mill in Coos Bay will run a shuttle bus to the park if we have at least 6 people interested in visiting the casino. I would need to call and make a reservation with them to get the shuttle, so I need to know who is interested.

Any Takers?? Let me know...

21 Rigs!

Welcome to Anne-Marie and Al (aatauses)! You make 24 registered rigs for this rally. That's pretty good for this side of the Rockies!

Be sure to check out the other threads to get info on T-shirts, activities, etc.
