Okay, we have 8 full hookup sites and one water and electric only site left for the rally, so it is getting close to full, but not yet full! I also need everyone that is scheduled to attend to look at the first thread and make sure I have your information correct (arrival and departure dates, site number, whether or not your are rafting and if you are Caravanning to Oregon with us to the Oregon Rally the next weekend).

Also, if you haven't noticed, it is official that the Potluck will be Friday night with the Ice Cream Social along with the Raffle on Saturday evening after the rafting trip.

Rod, thanks for the update on available sights. There are quite a few Central California chapter rally attendees who are interested and we weren't sure what was left. I hope you'll get a few more sign-ups in the next couple of days. The change in plans for the pot luck and and ice cream social is fantastic. We sure all benefit when you guys and Kristy and Mark get together.

The info you have for us on the first thread is correct.

Rod, we have booked our reservations with Wenatchee River Park arriving July 15 and departing on the 20th. We are in site 38. We will also be joining the caravan so what do I need to do to book a spot at the Portland RV park. Do you do that for us or do I call the park? Looking forward to next year. Still deciding on whether to do the River Rafting, so will let you know later.
P.S., I had new axles (Dexter's) installed to fix the tire wear problem at Brent's in Auburn. They did a great job.

Tom and Marla,

I will put you down for the Caravan. I am making all the reservations for the Portland Fairview RV Park and will collect all the money from everyone. I will need payment by April so I can mail in the full amount to the park. There is no hurry in sending me the money. PM me and I will send you my address to mail the check too. Post #1 of this thread has all the information and details as to how to make reservations for the rafting if you guys decide to join us for that. Again, no rafting experience is necessary and they provide us with a Steak BBQ Lunch after the rafting trip.

Great to hear that your tire wear problem got fixed. Did Dexter step up and cover the repairs? Did Brent's in Auburn have the ability to laser align the axles?

Doug and Doris,

We have gotten a couple of people that signed up in the last few days! Hopefully some more will join in. Only 6 sites left with 24 people signed up so far! Looking like it is going to be a great Rally! Hopefully we can get a few more people joining us down to the Oregon Rally. Can't wait to see you guys again!

Rod, regarding the tire wear issue, Brent's in Auburn did the laser check and determined the Lippert axles were bent and needed to be replaced. The repair was covered by XtraRide, a Platinum service agreement that Giant RV in CA sold me at sale time. Cost was $1,700 for the new 7K pound Dexter Axles (recommended by Brent's as better than Lippert) and I only paid a $50 deductible. At this point only one new Goodyear tire will be required as I can get some additional life out of the others. On an additional note, while towing the Bighorn for a recent dog show, we were forced to the far right of the road by a passing truck and the right side and roof of the Bighorn was hit by a 5" tree branch. Bottom line $13,000 damage for new roof, awning, decals and other work. Wescraft is doing the repair and Allstate is picking up the majority of the repair cost. So pretty soon we will have an almost new rig. Thanks again for your help with the tire issue and recommendations.

Tom, sorry to hear about the new damage, but I guess that is why we have insurance. Glad you two are able to join us!!

Hi--

Just wanted to let you know I made a reservation at the Portland rv park arriving on July 20 and leaving on the 23rd so guess we'll be caravaning.

By the way, what was the outcome of the bedroom a/c issue?

Hey there Pat (and everyone),

I am sorry for the confusion. I must not have made this very clear in post #1. No one has make the reservation for Portland Fairview RV Park if you want to stay with the group. They (Portland Fairview RV Park) make me (the group leader) make all of the reservations for everyone in our group. They have multiple sites all together blocked out and reserved for our group so we can stay together. If you are okay staying away from the group then you can keep or make your own reservation.

For those that are going to caravan to the Oregon Rally together and want to stay in the Portland Fairview RV Park together, I will those people to send me a check for the site costs paid in full in April (costs listed on post #1 of this thread), as I will be sending in a single check to pay for everyone site then. Sorry this has gotten confusing. The rafting on the other had, you contact the number listed in post #1 and call and make your reservations and payment through them directly.

Rod,
Since I have made my reservation with Fairview RV Park, do I need to cancel that reservation and have you make it for us so we can be with the caravan group? We did all this last July and now I'm having trouble remembering everything I did. :)
Thanks, Jack

Rod,

I just talked with the lady at Fairview and she couldn't find our reservation but when I told her we would be with the Heartland group she said they had probably put it aside so we could be included with the group. I just want to make sure we don't have double reservations or get left out completely so when you finalize with them please include us. If you want to pm us with your address we'll send the payment to you.

Thanks, Jack

Jack,

All reservations and payments for Portland Fairview RV Park have to go through me. As far as payments go, don't be in a hurry to mail the payment to me, as I will not deposit the checks until April.

I will PM you my address to send the payment.

Rod--

Just wanted to let you know that Dave has decided he will do the rafting trip. Need to be sure and bring his back brace.

Were you able to solve your A/C issues?

Pat, that is great to hear that he is going to join us on the rafting trip.

The Landmark is in the shop as we speak getting more exhaust vents installed, and according to Heartland that will take care of the problem.

We are planning to stop near Mt. St. Helens on our way up to the rally. Have any of you stayed at Seaquest State Park in Castle Rock. I see they have some pull throughs, but not sure they will handle our unit. Any info on this park would be appreciated. If you have another suggestion for camping in this area, we'd love know.

Thanks,
Pat
