The time has finally come we are going to take our first road trip in our new to us Cyclone. We are heading to Florence on the Oregon coast. We have had a couple of shakedown boondocking camping trips and everything seems to be working fine also had it checked out by a local rv mechanic. Thanks to all the help from everyone on this forum! We have added a few important things to the trailer based on your recommendations and experience including a progressive EMS and at the last minute a TST 507 TPMS system which I hope to install tonight! We have reservations for Heceta Beach RV Park for a week and are looking to explore the area if anyone has any thought or recommendations on the area or experience with that park please share!

It just so happens that several HL owners are sitting in the Mill Casino RV Park about an hour south of Florence until Sunday. Depending on your schedule you could take a drive and run into a bunch of us. Just let us know if you are coming down so we know to look for you. Mark and I are in site 25.

Scottyb thanks for the link I totally forgot about that reference in pulp fiction!

Dave and Tina big Goodkind fans as well although probably not as big as you because until I saw your kitty's handle it didn't occur to me that our puppy Bernadette has a similar link! In truth we named her after Bernadette on the Big Bang Theory!

Kristy I think we are going to be there on Saturday but with this being our first long trip I am not sure if everything goes well we will come by and say Hi and will let you know. Sorry we missed the rally from what I have read it was a great success! We are hoping to attend next year!

Any thought on the best route we are going to stop in Burns overnight and can't decide if we want to go up through Sisters and over or to Bend and down cutting across through Eugene.

Depending on which way you are traveling to florence, here are some camp grounds you my visit, Canon Beach RV park right off the highway 101 going north, it has the gas sign on 101, Winchester Bay outside of Reeds Port south of Florence, KOA Warengton North past Sea side. We have been traveling to Oregon since 1990, I would say our favorite place is Cannon beach.
