Gen prep on 2017 Torque

Can anyone tell me what gauge wire the gen prep circuit is wired with. The red, white and black appear to be heavier gauge wire compared to the wiring harness coming out of the Onan 5500. Is wire nuts sufficient to join these together? Thanks

In mine both are 10ga, one is stranded and the other is solid. Wire nuts been keeping them together for over 4 years.

Neither hot wire from the generator carries more than 30 amps. So I believe 10 is sufficient. I haven't looked at my wires for a couple of years, but I think the wires going into the transfer switch are 6 gauge on both shore power and generator inputs.

I just pulled my Onan generator for a stator rotor assembly replacement.
This is what is in my 2012 Landmark Rushmore.
