Heartland Gateway, tires on ML3300

these are the tires that are currently on the 5er we may purchase: ST235/80R16-E
We have been advised from current Gateway owners that we should have the dealership put better tires on that there have been blow-outs with the tires I mentioned.
Any suggestions. I"m new to this forum so if I'm doing this right, or wrong, let me know.
Thanks, Scott & Cathy

Re: Heartland Gateway on ML3300

Hi Scott and Cathy,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

If you have questions about anything in/on your unit, you can find the answer most likely right here. We have a great search engine on the forum, both simple and advanced. Sometimes that is the fastest way to find an answer instead of waiting on someone to reply. While you are getting acquainted with the forum try out the search tab for fun.

There have been lots of problems with the Towmax brand if that is what you have on your unit. I would recommend that you try to work out a trade for tires with the dealer.

I did move your post to the correct area for tires for the RV.

Enjoy the forum.

If the loaded weight on the axles of the trailer is around 10k or less, consider Maxxis. You don't say what brand are on the Gateway now but if they are Towmax, get rid of them ASAP. With any tire you need to run them at rated pressure and check the pressure no less than every morning before towing.
