How do you inspect for worn spring and shackle bushings?

Doing my visual inspection I wonder how I inspect for worn suspinsion bushings? My book says they use bushings hat will last for a very long time, will they? Are they never fail bushings?

I had brass bushings wear out within 2 years of use. The only way you can check them is to pop them out, which usually ruins them. Best bet is to schedule this by usage time, and try the replacing them with the Never Fail ones which are proported to be lifetime.
