Jensen JWM70A DVD playback purple tint

Brand new 2020 Bighorn DVD is playing back with a purple tint. Is this a player or tv issue. Tv works perfectly on satelite. Player is connected to tv via HDMI cable from factory. Tv is a Summit Thanks

Often times it's a cable problem. Try unplugging and reconnecting the video cable as well as try a new cable.

You might try Caig DeOxIt contact cleaner/restorer spray on both cable and electronics contacts. Sounds like a loss of one of the primary colors in the wiring to me. I know HDMI is all digital, but at least THIS diagram seems to indicate the DVI connection uses separate R-G-B data and return lines:

Update took the player out and hdmi cable was not pushed all the way in. Works great now! Thanks for the advice
