NT 28BRS Slide Inside Seal

Hi

Question on the slide seal on my 2015 NT 28BRS.

On the inside of slide room against the wall there's a vertical strip, a D-shape rubber seal. The top and bottom have about 6" of loose material just dangling. Should these be glued straight? It's like this on both sides. Picture below.

What exactly do these strips do? When the slide is out they appear to pull past the inside wiper seal.

PS: I had this posted in my other thread about the wiper but thought I'd better make a separate thread.

Hopefully someone with a North Trail can look at theirs and verify but that sure looks like the ends need to be glued back down.
