Yeah I'm finding that out and it is real tough to match.

This is the wall I'm trying to match and I think I'm pretty close.
After I apply the clear coat over it we should be good.

Both of these pictures are the same two pieces of wood just the first picture was taken in the RV and. Second is in the garage. They look completely different.

They look red in the garage but seem to match in the RV so I'm sticking with that stain for now.

English chestnut

I just put the polyurethane on now it's supposed to dry 24hrs but I'm not that patient. We'll see what it looks like tonight when I get home.

I'm on my way to Richmond to help my buddy lift his RV suspension up 1" or so.
After he installed the Dexter equalizers it dropped the trailer down and his tires hit the bottom of the slides once in awhile.
I think I have everything I'll need.

We are going to cut off this center hanger and weld it a 1"x 2" tube spacer

I'm on my way to Richmond to help my buddy lift his RV suspension up 1" or so.
After he installed the Dexter equalizers it dropped the trailer down and his tires hit the bottom of the slides once in awhile.

Why don't you flip his axles

or check to see if his springs are weak.

He only needs 1" flipping the axles would be about 4" then he'll have a different problem with height and stability.

did he order the correct equalizer. it could be as simple that the new equalizer is meant for a shorter spread axle and he measured the distance wrong. That would move the axles closer together.

ok. I'll keep quiet then. I'm asking because something is amis and it looks like he already has a piece in place extending the axles down and usually that is the last thing you want to do.
