Refrigerator sweating

I have never noticed it until this week end but the fins in the fridge seem to be sweating a lot. There is some small puddles in the drip pan but not even close to over flowing. It is extremely hot out side and the air conditioner is working steady to cool the fifth. Just concerned haven,t noticed it till this weekend. Anyone got an ideal ? The fridge is good and cold but I do not have a thermometer.

It might just be the heat and humidity in the coach, but you might check the seals on the frig. Close the door on a dollar bill and pull. There should be some drag if the seals are working correctly. Do that at various points around the door(s). If it's a Dometic RM1350, make sure the center flap between the doors is closing fully.

Thanks Dan I will check the suggestions. The humidity here is real high (Central Florida) and hot. Thanks a lot.

Not unusual. The drip pan is ordinarily drained out the back of the fridge and should not overflow. The fact that the fins are sweating and not iced up indicates that your fridge is probably quite warm. I run mine pretty cold (~35 deg) and have to defrost it about every 2 weeks during the summer.

I'm right there with Rickhansen. I never see the fins sweating. Mostly filled with frost. You should get a thermometer to make sure it's cold enough. I have no trouble keeping the fridge in the low 30's but it's tough to get the freezer below 10 degrees.
These fridges are temperamental too. You also should verify your cooling fan/fans are working on the back of the fridge. They are located towards the top on the rear and are supposed to draw or blow cool air over the coils/fins on the upper rear of the unit.

I have installed 3 additional fans plus the two original that run anytime the refrig is in operation for a total of 5 fans. It takes all five to move sufficient air for my RM1350 to cool properly.

I also get some condensation on the fins and sometimes some small icicles. My fins never frost over and have to be defrosted. I have seen some that did and they said they had to defrost about once a month. We onlydefrost maybe twice a year.

Thanks everyone, I pushed up the thermostat and went outside and can hear a fan running, so a fan is running unknown if more than one fan. My thermometer broke and have not replaced it so I don't know what the temp. is. Everything is cold including milk, which I will not drink if is not very cold. I'm heading home tomorrow and will get a thermometer and check. On my TT before this would ice up the fins so I don't know.
