I only lost the section around my r/h wheels during my blowout and at the time HL would only sell me the whole roll and not just a piece. So I went to metal fab shop and bought a piece of their scrap.
It was slightly thicker but once on you could not tell the difference.
My tip is that I used a 12 oz soda bottle (plastic filled with water) to help form the roll at the bottom. Between that and continually checking the roll progress with the new skirt it turned out perfect.
