Residential Fridge Battery not charging

Well, we installed a residential fridge in our rig. We installed the magnum 1000 watt inverter and transfer switch. We also installed 2 new batteries, so they would both be the same. Everything worked fine last week (on a 6 1/2 hour trip to Pigeon Forge). We had 50 amp at our campground. On the way home I notice our green inverter light was not on. The battery that we use for our fridge was DEAD. The other battery was fine. How does the fridge battery charge when we hook up to 50amp. Maybe we didn't get something hooked up? Thought maybe someone that has installed a residential fridge could help me figure this out. Thanks

With a factory install, the 2 batteries are wired in parallel and both run everything in the coach. They're kept charged by the Power Converter when on shore power. The Power Converter connects to the batteries via the 12V DC Buss Bar near the batteries, which is actually a group of mini-circuit breakers connected on the battery side by a copper buss bar.

If your 2 batteries are independent, perhaps you have one of them connected to the buss bar and the other not connected. In that case, there's nothing recharging it.

Thanks for the help. I will connect my 2 batteries in parallel and I think that will work.
