We have an 07 ram 2500 mega cab 6.7 liter deisel....Truck is stock but lifted and has no problem pulling just sags a little with out air bags. Is the trailer too much for the truck?
The RW 415 empty pin weight is 3,225 lbs. Most 2500s have a payload spec in the 2300-2700 lb range. In addition to pin weight, you have to add the weight of the hitch, bed liner, bed cover, tools, firewood, pets, passengers and anything else in the truck.
So you're without a doubt significantly over the payload spec. The real question might be 1) is it safe, and 2) will there be premature wear and tear on the truck.
Some people will say don't worry about it. Others will say not to exceed the specs.
