Sewer Parts Storage Compartment

In our 3055RL we had a neat little outside compartment that allowed us to store all the nasty little parts, pieces and couplings for our sewer. Our 3185RL did not come with that compartment. It does now! Hey honey, have you seen my rotozip?:eek::eek:

If you decide to do this yourself just make sure you are below the level of the flooring behind the J Channel. The entire project took about an hour.

Sorry, you posted this... Now you've verified that my husband isn't insane... LOL
I've been holding him off from cutting in another small compartment.
Great job, and I'm sure he'll thank you for posting the pics! :)

Sorry Deb! He actually made me get the camera to record the cutting. I have to admit I was nervous and really couldn't understand the need to cut into something we have spent one weekend in. He really does nice work and makes me proud of his finished products. OK inhale, exhale! Ray, go get the Rotozip.....

Nice work John; I always liked those storage areas in the J-wrap. As always another professional job.

Great job. Where did you get the door and frame?

We have a 08--3055 and we do not have the compartment.

We actually used a street sign to make the bottom of the compartment. Lays right into the J Channel and on the trailer frame.[/QUOTE]

Was that like a school crossing sign or school zone sign??? LOL

It was a STOP it Jon sign! LOL Actually, a clean old piece of safety something or other sign found in the scrap pile.

Thanks for posting that great mod. I too miss the hose storage compartment that I used to have. Been thinking about adding one like you did. Now I have to do it.
Nice job.

Peace
Dave

Sure glad our Bighorn came with the "nasty compartment" as original equipment. Otherwise I'd have to be trying to keep up with the Jones??????? Uh, excuse please. Meant to say Bylinskis!

Nice work! Makes me want to start adding my Landmark mods to the forum. I took pics of most of them but have no time to post them up :(

Where is it located on your Bighorn? Can I have a picture? We have an '11 and don't have one, miss it a lot and would be willing to add but DH is hesitant to do it. Figure if I had a picture of where one was located he might be more willing......................Thanks

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I have a BH 3670 and was wondering if the location would be the same????

Tom,

It is actually located off door side right above the sewer outlet on our 3185RL. The furnace is right behind the UDC Door and I think you can see that in one of the pictures. Actual location is between the UDC and the Kitchen Slide out. I will take a wider pic this afternoon and post it if that will help you decide on your location.

Tom, on the '09 BH3670, the sewer hose compartment is located under the furnace panel. In the photo, you can see the access door under the furnace and to the right of the water heater compartment.
