Shocks Revisited

Most know that the OEM shocks are not the highest quality--a baby can compress them and they will not rebound. So, I installed the Monroe 555001 shocks and all seemed well until we traveled over some pretty rough roads and I blew two shocks (all oil drained out) and the others have leaking oil. Other individuals have also experienced this. I researched for another brand and found that Bilstein shocks (24-064194, B6) should fit. So, I ordered just one from an EBay vendor just to make sure. Wow, now that's a REAL shock--one can see the quality right away. My whole body weight was needed to get the first compress to charge the shock. It takes a little more effort to install. There is some sticker "shock", but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm ordering three more and will let this forum know if I have any problems with them.
