Travel bars for slides

Should we be using some type of travel bar to secure the slides when moving. I realize the hydraulics will hold slide in but what about in the case of a hydraulic failure, could the slides creep out? What about water intrusion at the top of slides without travel bars installed. What is the factory suggestion here? Thanks

Because the Hydraulics slides are run on a "worm gear" that is turned by the system, they will not go out - at least never more than an inch or two. That has been the case on hydraulic slides for more than a decade, so I would not worry about that. If the slide room is adjusted correctly, you will not have to worry about water intrusion at the top either.

Thanks Scott, that was the info I was looking for. I was pretty sure they weren't needed but wanted reassured.:)
