Finally got around to replacing the gaskets on the toilet. The ball was sticking and slow to close. Works great now!!! Also installed a water shutoff valve behind the toilet, sharkbite ball valve.

Took the rig to the local body shop this morning to repair the damage from our October tire failure. Picked it up this afternoon and are back at the campground. The repair shop worked with us so we wouldn't have to stay in a hotel.

What is the purpose or need for the toilet water shutoff valve ?

There have been some reports of the tank valve leaking, filling and overflowing the bowl.
The shut off valve can help that once it is discovered. Hopefully before the flood.

Peace

Our previous Thetford toilet decided that when you stepped on the lever to flush it that the lever would just fall off. This let the spring-loaded drain valve close and the non-spring-loaded water valve stay open. The bowl fills in about the amount of time it takes me to run down the interior stairs, throw open the door, jump completely past the exterior stairs to the ground, run around the front of the trailer and turn off the outside water spigot.

Some things are worth paying for.

True dat :)

I enjoy working on my coach, making mods on my coach. I would not have enjoyed tearing into the black tank line to replace the valve. The guys both had to mask/glove/shield up and it still wasn't enough protection.

I added some LED lighting under the camper. The awning lights are too dim. I can also plug these into my inverter when backing up at night to illuminate things.

Routine maintenance and prepping for a trip south to warmer weather. Fabricated and installed a mount on the ladder to hold the satellite dish.

Had problems with the carb on my Onan and decided to rebuild it until I gave up on finding a bowl gasket and settled on a new carb. I was just about ready to lay down about $300.00 for the carb when I got lucky and found a brand new one in an unopened box on eBay for $129.00. Installed it yesterday and now the Onan is running like new again.

Installed mounting hardware for a safe/vault for personal effects under the bed. Had to remove the luan of course so while I had that out I rerouted and anchored some wiring, lubricated the chains for the bedroom slide, and added a thin shim on one of the bed frame cross members. There is a junction box under the bed whose screw heads were gouging into the underside of the luan when opening and closing the slide. Just as easy for me to add the shim than run to the store for a shallow junction box.

Ours is sitting out there next to our garage all covered with snow and mothballed for the cold weather . . .

We'll be pulling it out of the yard in three weeks so we can head down south to the Quartzsite, Arizona HOC Rally in January 2015 . . .

Can't wait!

Wow . . . 2015 . . .

Blue skies and sunshine here today in central PA. Temps were in the low 50's! Loving it but they say the winter cold will be upon us next week!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419628775.490830.jpg
