Hi Bob & Patty, I'm new to this, saw your picture posted with I think that is Mt. Rushmore in the background. My wife Karen and I were there last year and camped at the Mt. Rushmore/Hill City KOA for a week . Where are you located? Joe
Hi Mike and Betty: So nice of you to reach out to us, it is really appreciated. We have had our Heartland Sundance for a year and we are very happy with it. I noticed on your page that you are retired law enforcement, I come from a family of police officers in San Diego, where I was raised. Phil is from Covina, CA and retired from the US Coast Guard in 1994. We met in 1996 and married in 1997 and have been traveling ever since (we are on our third RV). I have just been certified as an advanced diver, Phil just re-certified for a brush up. We are interested in doing RV trips where we can incorporate dive trips as well. We travel with our two cats, Woody and Smokey, they will be joining us on the Indiana trip in June.

pntaylor,
Welcome to the Arkansas Heartland Family, I have added your name to the Arkansas Chapter of friends and will be sending you both information, as it becomes available for upcoming events that will be going on within the state, we usually get together, at least once a year and and just sit around the camp fire and share information about our coaches and tell of improvments or add-ons to make our riggs even more fun. I do hope that you will be able to fit us into your schedules when we can get together on camp-out, so that we can all get together and have a great time , don't hesitate to drop us a note if you have any questions.
Again welcome and Happy Camping!

We are looking looking at purchasing The Bighorn Model 3385RL in the near future. I would like to know if my pickup can pull this rig without problems. I have a 2007 Dodge 2500 Diesel, short box. It is the 5.9 liter, 11.5 rear axle, 4 speed automatic transmission. Truck weight is 7,172 lbs. 5 th wheel hitch is a Reese 15K Kwik Slide The dealer stated that the dry weight of the 5 th wheel is 11,800 lbs. with the options we wanted. Thanking you in advance for your expertise on this question. Thanks, White Lightening
Welcome to the forum. I hope you find it informational and fun. We have a lot of great people here. Do you have a camper now? Is it a Heartland product?

Just to let you all know that we just purchased a new 09 Heartland Cape Cod. What a headache it has been so far but the dealership has been superb while fixing all my problems with no warranty issues. The rear air conditioner had to be replaced, the kitchen and bathroom sinks leaked under the cabinets, the ceiling fan crashed into the slide out when it was retracted, and the trailair pin box bolts were all loose except one fell completely out. We had only towed it 40 miles. Now that they have fixed the leak in the black tank, fixed the leak in the freshwater tank and replced the fresh water pump twice, I believe we are ready to hit the road. Hopefully I didn't get a lemon.

Am considering the purchase of a Sundance 2998. It will be a good fit for my family and wondering if current owners of this model would share their thoughts on what in the trailer they consider the highpoints and what could have been better designed. Thank you

Are you kids going to make it to Indiana this June, we have made our reservations and we are also looking on getting a date set on our Arkansas Rally possibly within the next few weeks we are waiting on one of our members to confirm a location,

Hey Razorback,
Welcome to the Heartland Family, I see that you have not been in the family very long, the Hearland family gets together from time to time and sets up short outings within the state and discuss our rigs as well as to share interesting add-on done to the coachesas well as just good ole fasion fellowship, last year we went to Petti Jean State Park for three days and had a blast we are in the process of setting up our next meeting site, and some of us our planning to make the trip to Indiana this June for the national rally, we would enjoy to have you visit with us any time that your schedule allows or just drop us a line any time....
Happy Camping,

Hi,
My wife and I are seriously considering a Bighorn 3055RL. We are complete novices at RVing; we rented a small Class C for 2 weeks about 2 years ago. How do you like your 3055RL? Would a 1-ton truck be sufficient to tow and maneuver safely - ease of towing up hills and braking power (safety is an issue to us)? As a novice, I'm very concerned about dealing with its size in certain conditions - backing into slots in RV parks, maneuvering in fuel stations. We'd both take driving lessons, but I still have some anxiety of maneuvering in tighter situations. Thanks for any advice you can offer. I hope you are enjoying things. cheers, Tom and Jan
