Niagara Falls .. either the Canadian or the US side would be fun. Great idea. It has been a long time since I have been to the falls. : )

Hey Jim , Check out this site. Been there and is very nice. www.oceanlakes.com Myrtle Beach with Ocean front. Meeting room for 1000 people. No extra charge for meeting room with sound system and kitchen. Over 800 transient sites available for Rallys. Moving further West, Fleetwood Just had their National RV Rally at the Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee OK. First impression is it may work for Hartland Rally www.shawneeexpo.org Still looking at other locations Southwest and Northwest that have enough good Camping sites as well as meeting rooms together on the same grounds.

Mill Creek Ranch in Canton, Tx would be a great place for a rally. Plenty of sites and a beautiful rally hall. Canton is right on Interstate 20 so it is easy access and only about 40 miles from Dallas Tx.

I was thinking the same park Jim but from the map I saw, they only had 100 sites. It's possibly one of the highest rated resorts I've seen, from Woodall's, Good Sams, etc, etc but again we need to get the info on how many sites. If Biletti wants to check it out , just go to http://www.millcreekranchresort.com/ . There are tons of options not far away, being that close to DFW is great though I prefer Ft.Worth. Going to keep looking for other options.

First Monday weekend in Canton, TX is a great fun time. Maybe do the rally the week following to avoid the crowds. We would love to go to the NE for a rally or to the N/S Carolina coast. This was our first rally and it was fantastic!!!

In looking at the map I believe the Nevada/Arizona/New Mexico idea is a good one. I also believe that the great Northeast would also be an untapped area. Although, I like those locations, I can see where it may be time for us to visit our neighbors to the north. I like the idea of a Niagra Falls location but have not had the time to research the possibilities. (As soon as the 5 State Rally is over I will have more time to devote to some investigation on the matter) If you have located a facility in Georgia, I would say it's not all that far from where we just were in Tennessee so I personally would like you to wait on that one but that's JMO! Possibly farther south than GA would be an option in maybe Lousianna/Alabama or even Texas.

When making suggestions it would be helpful if you have some knowledge of the area that you are suggesting. Many, many CG post 500 sites on their web page but seasonal campers make a great deal of those spaces unavailable. Also, the facilites needed are growing from year to year which makes finding a location a difficult task. At 200-250 sites needed it would be difficult at best to find an actual campground location! Fairgrounds and facilities like that are going to become necessary with future growth. Although Ocean Lakes is a great vacation destination, I believe that area has already been given a fairly close opportunity with the Tennessee Rally.

Everyone is "stuck somewhere" so location will prevent some from attending no matter where it is held. Every location is going leave someone feeling left out! The best we can do is continue to move around in an effort to afford all members with an opportunity to attend a North American event.

We are at the rally at Canton TX at the Mill Creek Ranch. I talked to Wendy, their rally coordinator, who told me that although there are "only" 100 sites here, there is a City of Canton convention center on the First Monday grounds with over 200 sites available there. The convention center is 14,000 square feet and can be divided off for sessions. The park has shuttle busses that can ferry folks between the two areas.

Just a thought, if your are thinking of Canada.
I live on the Canadian border, you need a Passport, Nexus Card, or Enhanced Drivers License to go into Canada.
Passport was $100.00 for 10 Years.
Nexus Card Was $50.00 for 5 years.
Enhanced Drivers License (Michigan) was $45.00 for I believe 4years.
The best bet really is the Passport, because you can travel the World with it, the others are only good for Canada.
My wife and I both have Passports, and Nexus Cards.
With a Nexus card, they have a special lane on the bridge here in Port Huron, Michigan. We have a placard that goes on the mirror, then turn on the 4way flashers and take the center lane of the bridge. We do not have to wait in line like the rest of the folks do. It's really a quick entry card.
Canada is a very beautiful country, but beware of the requirements before you go.
I love Canada, friendly people.

Here is just a thought that would be a location more or less centrally located. The Amana Colonies in Iowa. Here is a link to their website. http://www.amanarvpark.com/Page-Home_1.aspx We have stayed at this RV Park for a week this past summer. A hugh park with room for 500 RV Units. With that said, the park itself is not fancy, but it does have meeting halls and other facilities. It located to the Amana Colonies which are a great place to shop and some of the most fantastic food you'll put in your mouth.

Anywhere but Goshen. Why not break the country up into quadrants and go from corner to corner so all customers can partake at one time or another. Just a thought... Spread the fun, spread the meet - expand the product. Besides Jim it allows you to see places ya never been to and it allows you to tell the boss... it's not my idea boss, tommy boy made me do it...

Ditto, on the Southwest for 2014. Utah, Nevada or Arizona. Then the Northeast for 2016.

Our vote is for Northeast/East Coast in June-early July 2014 - ditto Niagra Falls location as our first choice. Also like Tom Johnson CG in NC as second choice for 2014. Then, Texas or New Mexico in May 2016.

I am not knocking the Northeast but remember in the NE US you can drive for 4 hours and go across 3 states. In the southwest, northwest and west you drive 4 hours and you really haven't gotten anywhere. It takes 2 days to cross Texas and at least a day and a half to go from southern Calf to northern Calf then it takes a day to cross Montana etc. So what I am saying is it is much easier for you folks in the Northeast to drive west than the folks in the west to go east. Too bad there isn't someplace in Colorado or Kansas that would work. More centrally located. Then we could all have a shot at going. Seems to me now that I think about it that the big Good Sam rally was in Kansas several years ago. Maybe that place would work. But not in Tornado season.:)

I understand what you are saying Jim but a thousand miles through 7 states or a thousand miles through two states is still 1,000 miles!

I think the reason for moving it around the country IS so that we all get a chance to go.
