Had a similar experience when I installed my Ground Control jacks. The supplied fasteners were to be torqued to 75 ft-lbs (an earlier manual said 100). The ASTM A307 bolts were only rated to 20. Went and bought certified Grade 8 fasteners (45 ft-lbs) and torqued accordingly.

Fixed the leather trim piece over the door. Used plywood to replace cardboard, spray adhesive for foam and stapled new leather on. Very pleased with the way it turned out.

So everyone agrees that the ceiling fans HL puts in the units are basically useless. So I hate having things around or in my trailer that are useless......so I did this this weekend.
Replaced OEM installed fan with ceiling fan from Lowe’s. Before anyone asks blade height is right at 6’ 9”. I am currently using a 12” down rod. I am going to make a shorter custom down rod later. Which will bring the blade height to 7’ 1”. This will make it so when I close the slide there will be about an inch below the slide ceiling.
I have also figured out a way to the secure the fan once the slides are in so that it will eliminate swaying of the fan while traveling down the road.
Test trip on securing system will be a short 40 mile trip tomorrow when I take her in for an axle alignment.
Oh and yes it does actually move air now very well. The OEMs are just mounted to close to the ceilings.

Chuck, I sure do like what you did with that fan. I’ve been considering the same. My only fear is I believe I have to have the fan blades positioned in a certain way or they’d hit the slides when I moved them in. With my luck I’d forget the very first time out. Right now the fan is a conversation piece. 😡

I too was worried about that but where it sits now, blades are about 4 inches below the slide trim and ceiling. At this position it does not mater where the blades are in fact I even ran the fan briefly with both slides in.
I don’t know anyone in my circle of influence over 6 ft so I may just leave it at this height. It will all be up to what the better half wants me to do.

i wasn’t worried about the 6’ 5” part. I guess you fan must be further forward than mine as mine won’t clear the slides if they are in. I might even have to use a 4 blade fan. BUMMER 😡 I really like what did.

I finally finished the install today for my Cheap Heat furnace add on. It took some time as I have a plenum feed for the registers and had to get the correct adapter from Larry. This involved cutting into the floor and plenum for access to the ductwork.
Jim B helped with this project and is getting good at wiring everything up. The biggest challenge was that the furnace is under the sink cabinet and very little space to work. It was definitely a two man job. The preliminary wiring was done a week or so ago and today we made the final connections and everything checked out and is working on both gas and electricity.

Thanks. My local HD never has the small load centers like that. But with the part number it is easy enough to order.

Dave Tyler and I installed CheapHeats in two Bighorns and a Landmark. All three had space available in the main breaker panels so that we didn't need an additional box. I checked with Larry and he said if there was space, great. Some panels are probably full, but if you have the space, makes installation a little easier.

That is certainly something to consider.
so now that you’re really good at these, can you do mine?? Lol
In my coach, I have the PCS energy management system. I wish I would have had room in my panel board for a dual-pole 30 amp breaker to feed cheap heat. In that manner, the energy management system would know my true load and could manage to it. But by tapping 50 amp power before it, the energy management system doesn't see that load.
A trade-off for sure, but I love not having to schlep full propane tanks
