I am also sorry about your problems. I have had problems with my 3580 since I bought it new in 2010. Front pin box caulk cracking due to frame flex. Fixed at factory. One year later the area they fixed has cracked on the fiberglass. Went to put my large slide in when coming home from...
*************************************** There are so many problems with Heartland products. The slide floors rotting is just one. The flex issue at the pin box is another. I had my flex issue fixed at Heartlands factory tw years ago. I had to threaten the rep ************ in order to get...
Mine is presently at Heartlands plant getting repairs for the same thing that is happening to you. It has to go to the factory for these repairs. It is the only repair that they do not farm out to someone else. Mine is doing the same as yours. The factory and Lippert are adding gussets and...
My unit is actually only 2 yrs old as I bought it brand new in 2010. The last two trailers I had had 3 and 5 yr structural warranties. A one year warranty is no where good enough.
My 2009 3580 Bighorn is in Heartlands service bay right now with a frame flex. All the caulking on both sides has opened up about 1/4 inch when on the hitch and when off the hitch it basically seals up. Lippert and Heartland are repairing it for free. This is an obvious flaw in the product...
The other place to check is under the bottom of both slides at the edges. You will probably find wood scraped off from the slide going in and out. A chronic Heartland problem that I have seen on most Bighorns and other units from Heartland. Major cost to repair if it is not taken care of...
I went to an R.V. dealer in Yuma this morning regarding a slide problem. While there I looked at a brand new Landmark. On the bottom of one of the slides I noticed two screws protruding from the bottom of the floor. Just a matter of time before the slide rips up the lino. I just wonder how much...
I have the same problem with my slide on the living room side. I got a Parkland repair kit delivered today as well as the plastic trim pieces for the slide. The new trim pieces are black in color now and and are marked right and left. Looking at the bottom of the slide I have no idea how the...
Hi Jim,
Same with mine, no rollers. When I contacted Hearland they had no idea what I was talking about. To me that should be impossible as tons of us have had problems with Heartlands inferior floors in the slides. This is the only trailer I have seen that was left unprotected at the slide...
Do you remember who your were talking too? They really seem clueless at Heartland sometimes. With tons of us having similar problems you would think these trim pieces would be common knowledge? I guess you just have to contact the right person at Heartland. I am in Yuma A.Z. right now so no...
I have one of the edges of my floor under the slide rubbing when it comes in and out. There is a fix from Parkland Plastics that I used once before but it has come loose and caught up under the slide. I managed to remove it and will order another. The bottom edge of my slide also needs the...
I hate cable slides and wish they were never used. One of my cables has broken. The slide is stuck open halfway. I am in Yuma A.Z. and no one wants to touch it as yet. There is a dealer who maybe able to help next week. The cable that broke was the bottom one on the front of the bedroom...
Went to use the microwave a few minutes ago and the turntable no longer turns and the unit does not heat. It makes noise and the light comes on inside the unit but that is it. I have unplugged it etc. and it still won't work. Any ideas? I will contact the company on Monday and try and get it...
It is funny when you read the material from Heartland about all the testing they do on the trailers at the factory yet the majority of us have similar issues and leaky taps and hoses. I just keep my fingers crossed as I can not afford to buy another 5th wheel.
Rick
I just love the brochure that shows all of the water lines on Bighorn pressure tested before it leaves the factory. They also pressure test the unit to make sure the seams do not leak. With all this testing how come the majority of us have at the minimum leaking sinks and water lines? I was...
