    DTV Slimline3 setup first time?

Level the tripod, set the tilt, set the elevation, Sweep the dish until you get a signal. I dont use those meters. Wife hollers out the window to the % of signal. Last week setting up twice I I eye balled the neighbors and guessed on the az. Got 75-80% right off the bat. Did some tweeking and...

    Baffeled by my baffel

Fridge in a slide with a topper. Baffle mounted just to the front lower edge of the cooling condenser with a clip, barely touching. Camper next to us said there milk freezes on high at 5000 ft. but wont at 9000. Figured it was lack of OX but can not figure out why it cools better without the...

    Baffeled by my baffel

Installed baffle mod in my 1350 fridge at home. It ran on AC and gas equally for two days. Outside temps in the upper 90's. Fridge stayed at 33*. Took our trailer to a boon dock park at aprox. 9000 feet with outside temps in the high 70's. Running on gas only the temp climbed to 40* and the fans...

    Dining Table Chairs

We took two of our chairs out too. We even ordered an extra chair for the computer area that didnt seem to work out. Now we have 3 chairs in storage. We all should get together and have one giant chair sale. (or maybe Heartland would like to buy 'em back)

Anyone replace the bath vent fan?

I think the Landmark guys have wall switches for their fan which make changing out the switch a simple job. Ours is still the push button deal in the fan.

    DISH Satelite System this season

We have always called DTV and changed our service address when we get to AZ. They just change the zip code and we get their locals (not DNS) with no charge at all. When we get back to CO we just change the service address to get the CO locals back. They never seem to have a problem with that...

Ice Maker Poll - give Heartland your feedback

Ours works well and we like it but where we stay the water is hardly fit to even shower in so we dont use it. Where I get my beer they give you a free bag of ice with every 30 pack. We are always giving ice away.

    Solution for Refrigerator not cooling

I would rather fix things my self than drag the unit to a dealer that has it for two to three weeks and you get it home and find out it isnt any better. You will find great fixes on this forum like this fridge mod and TimK's A/C tent in the vent that was figured out by owners long before the...

A low cost new Brand RV now on the market....

We sold out Snowriver TC a few years ago. Now our summer camping has changed since we lost our seasonal site in WY. I am black and blue from kicking my self. TC's serve a purpose that no other RV can fill.

A/C Mod - installed the TimK "Tent" to redirect airflow

It is amazing how well this mod works. I see posts on the other forum about a 2nd A/C and bring this up with a link to here and it seems to fall on deaf ears. I did it on both trailers (worked a little better on our 3055 being shorter with less vents). Going to block off the last vents when I...

    new furniture

Option? It should be standard. Any place a wall hugger should used is in a trailer. And the rocker and swivel deal is pretty well useless and has caused an "accident" or two.

1350 would not cool, repaired and very successful.

I guess if it still cools in the 30's I will presume it is gelled. Cant try my baffle and fan mod because the spot in WY we were going to is on fire and we had to cancel our trip.

1350 would not cool, repaired and very successful.

How can you tell if this "transfer gel" is installed? Ours will stay in the 30's but with temps in the 3 digits lately I installed the baffle and the inside fan but never got a chance to try it yet.

    Second cable in an RE

Tried to run a second cable to the LR. They way the cable are run it looked impossible to get another up there. I just bought one of these kits and will rig it up in the UDC so I can use my old LNB when we boon dock and have to run the inverter to watch TV. For $35 it isnt worth the hassle of...

    SOLVED: Satellite Connection Works

Exact same thing happened to me. We did our own PDI at the dealer and I found that the LR Sat did not work. Found a bad connector. Summoned the dealer and told him about. You need two cables to run a DirecTV DVR unless you do the fancy stuff listed in the prior posts. Only one if you just want to watch regular TV or have DISH.

    Second cable in an RE

Just learned (new tech is a daily basis) that you can change the LNB and not use the SWM switch. Next concern is when I boon dock I will be running the inverter to power the insterter. Will it take much power, if so I might be better off running another cable.

    Second cable in an RE

Anyone run and extra cable for a DVR to the receiver area of a rear entertainment model? Easy to run the second cable where it enters the trailer after you remove some of the bottom covering? Hate having my RV in storage and having only 48 hours street time to work on it, have to have all my...

    Direct TV with DVR

When we spend 3 month in AZ and when we get down there we call Direct and tell them we moved and give them our AZ address and then our locals are the AZ locals (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and what ever independents they have) No $15 a month charge for DNS. When we get back to CO we call and tell 'em we...

    Greasy Brakes

All four of mine were greasy. Never had brakes since we bought the trailer and I never greased it. Sewer Boom Modification Idea

I removed mine just after we bought the 3610. Doesn't work well with the FloJet sewer pump when I use it. Problem is when it was designed to work with our model the outlet is now sitting just under the slide which is some what inconvenient when they are out. Trying to figure out a way of re...

1350 fridge baffle got me baffled.

After doing some studying if venting is that important why doesn't the fridge manufactures build venting into the back of the refrigerators? It would be so simple to make a sheet metal vent that would work on all fridges no matter the location when it was not installed. From the looks of the...

1350 fridge baffle got me baffled.

 Went to the lot to look at my fridge to prepare for the baffle that I have seen installed in other posts. All the diagrams show the fans about mid way between the two outside vents. My fans are located no more than 2-3 inches below the top vent and not too far under the condenser. The...

    Closet door latch?

I just broke my third infamous brown closet door latch. We only use them when we travel and just slide the doors to the opposite side when we are parked so you know they don't get used much. I was going to replace them and saw a post what some folks used but darned if I can find it.

4th water leak in 3 months in brand new Landmark, how do full-timers deal with it?

Ours has been leak free (knocking on wood) However, we only hook on to it to go the AZ for the winter then back. In the summer it goes to WY. One trip up, one trip back. I am guessing if you pull yours lots of times during the year you may be prone to more leaks. Every time you hit a bump its...
