    The Banshee Is Gone!!

I pulled and serviced my turbo little over a year ago. I laid on a blanket on top, won't do that again. I'll fabricate a harness/support of some kind to hang from my hoist. I had bruises for weeks after Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk

    The Banshee Is Gone!!

Indeed it is. You have to pull the turbo to gain access and even then long arms are an advantage. I might have done it had I been at home where I have the tools and shop to do it, but for the $400 labor charge it was worth it not to. Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk

    The Banshee Is Gone!!

Not sure about other powerstroke models, but on the 6.0 they have a y shaped pipe coming from the heads. Mine cracked right in the y. I'm assuming from heat stress. There are aftermarket upgrades, but the stock will last for as long as I need it to.

    The Banshee Is Gone!!

Sunday on our way back from the store I noticed that under mild throttle we had a faint "whistle" from under the hood. Got back to the trailer popped the hood, checked all the turbo boots and fittings - nothing amiss. Monday we left out on a 70 mile short hop over the mountains, at first it...

BC 3900 FLP - Bed Lift Linear Actuators

Cool, now if I were to cut a hole in the floor under the bed, I could then have a "Mobile Command Center" like Jack in "Meet the Fockers"

    Cold Bedroom Floor

You know I've never thought to look there, primarily because you'd have to bend in ways my old body doesn't go, but now that you've piqued my curiosity, I'll have to figure out a way to look. I'm wondering if I could blow fiberglass in the space.

    Cold Bedroom Floor

There is a raised floor in the closet that appears to be wood. Actually the floor there is warmer, as is the floor over the basement. It's the overhang that seems to radiate the cold. Not quite sure how it could be insulated. Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk

So is the floor over the overhang just a metal plate? That's what it feels like in cold temps.

    Ford 6.7 fuel system issues

Tend to agree with you. Think it might be because most owners don't post about their truck "unless " they're having problems.

    Cold Bedroom Floor

Jim, is the decking used here different from the rest of the coach. I assumed it was a laminated panel with insulation board in between, but based on how quickly it radiates cold, I'm beginning to wonder.

    Cold Bedroom Floor

Not really a draft, just more like a cold metal plate

    Cold Bedroom Floor

For some reason our bedroom floor (front) stays cold. Even if you turn the heat up the upper air is warm but the floor radiates cold. Any one else run into this or have a solution?

    TV Won't Lift Up

Problem solved!!!!!!!! When all else fails, whack it with a hammer  Not quite sure why, but apparently if you run the up or down to far it's like it get's stuck between poles??? Tapped on the motor with a hammer and wiggled it on it's mount. Works like a charm. (till the next time it gets...

    TV Won't Lift Up

Ran a hot and ground to the motor no response either way. Does that motor maybe have a limit switch that could be stuck?

    TV Won't Lift Up

Using your schematic, there is a power (red stripe) and a ground (white) coming in to the top two terminals. There is a jumper power (red stripe) and ground (white) that goes from the top two terminals to the bottom two terminals. There is a brown stripe wire and white wire connected to the...

    TV Won't Lift Up

Power to the switch but not sure which wire goes where. It has 6 spade terminals on the back of the switch, and the wire are to short get it out of the wall much. Did this once before only that time it was up and wouldn't go down. Came back next day to work on it and it's worked fine up until now.

    TV Won't Lift Up

Our TV drops down behind the fireplace and a lifting mechanism raises it up. Pushed the switch an nothing. Not sure if this is 12 volt or 120 any ideas. Where to start?

Where's my water heater bypass valve?

Not sure on this one, but when we had a SOB travel trailer, it was behind an L-shaped panel that was screwed in place in one of the storage compartments. Think there were 2 or 3 ball valves plumbed into the lines that you had to change. As I recall, they were close to were we hooked up the water.

What is being done about Towmax Tires

Tires were a major line item expense for us in our business. Over the years the #1 reason for tire failure was heat buildup caused by under inflation. #2 reason was road hazard (debris in the road, potholes, curbs, etc.). #3 was suspension and alignment issues. #4 overload or speed. #5 was...

Repair, Adjustment and Maintenance of Tank Valves.

I've seen a lot posts of late regarding leaking or hard to operate tank valves. The most common solution is add another valve at the cap. While this can be a good temporary solution, some of them I've seen are a problem waiting to happen. Our roads are littered with all kinds of debris making...

Black Water Tank Valve Sealing (Landmark)

Baby its cold outside - and inside

I wondered if that was causing the voltage reading. I also don't understand why the red led was NOT lit on the blown fuse. In fact none of the led's would come on if I pulled a fuse out.

Baby its cold outside - and inside

The only other time I can remember something similar was on a 12 volt light circuit that had an open ground. Since the wires were all disconnected at the furnace end, I don't know if this had anything to do with it or not. Rain and other problems delayed me in finishing up, but the furnace is...

Washer/Dryer for Bighorn. Combo or Separates?

Re: Washer and Dryer We've had the Splendide all in one unit for almost three years. Works great for what it was designed for, SMALL LOADS!!! DETERMINED: Does the Road Warrior posted pin weight include the Generator?

Re: Does the posted pin weight include the Generator? The weight of options aren't added until they are actually mounted. If you mount a generator in front of the trailer axles the weight addition to the pin weight would increase. The amount of the increase would depend on the distance forward...

Baby its cold outside - and inside

Finally, I think we've solved the problem. Not getting power from the coach to the furnace. Ran a another line straight to battery positive terminal, furnace worked fine. Turns out that Heartland mislabeled the fuses, or the installer swapped the wiring on the power awning and the furnace. Both...

Baby its cold outside - and inside

Found out the ducts are not a problem, turn the flange a 1/4 turn and they pop out. Getting the furnace out was a little more difficult, because of the way Heartland mounted the feet to the bottom of the furnace. That problem will be corrected when I reinstall the furnace. In any case the good...

Baby its cold outside - and inside

Dan - finally isolated the problem to a wiring problem somewhere on the furnace itself. Need to pull it so I can find the issue. I know this model pulls out the side after you disconnect the gas line, electrical and about 4 screws in the front. I'm not familiar with what's behind it though, and...

Putting cinder blocks under leveling jacks?

Short answer no. Go to the lumber yard get a pressure treated 6x6 and cut some blocks. Then cross stack them. If you have access to rough sawn oak even better.

That or pull the unit and put it on the bench. One thing I didn't mention is that the new board is different (manufacturer replaced the old number)

Baby its cold outside - and inside

That is correct I have 12 volt at the terminal next to the blower terminal. When I cycle the thermostat I get 12 volts on the blue thermostat wire but the blower terminal stays dead

Baby its cold outside - and inside

I guess I don't follow you on this, because I have power everywhere I'm supposed to at the furnace except the blower terminal off the board.

Baby its cold outside - and inside

AAAARRGGG. Back to the drawing board. Plugged in the new module, and nothing. I've got a constant 12 volts coming from one blue thermostat wire (which is supposed to be correct) and 12 volts to the other thermostat wire only when the thermostat is turned on. I hooked up a separate power source...

    RESOLVED: Suspension Problem?

Re: Suspension Problem? Hard to tell for sure from pictures but it looks like there's very little arch in the springs.
