While your at it you should install a Maxxair type cover as well. It will keep any rain out and prevent the vent cover from cracking again.

Olybldr55 you've got more then enough truck for the 24. Yours is the same as mine but the Ecoboost gives and extra 2000 pounds towing for some reason. My 28BRS is 8900 max GVWR and about 3000 under that dry weight and does just fine. Leatherneck when you pull a light weight travel trailer a half...
I've heard some states have restrictions on tow vehicles with wheels over 17" in height. This may be changed recently as most factory trucks have larger wheels now. However, all the heavy laid packages seem to come with 17" wheels. Even on smaller trucks.
As long as the outside diameter of...
I knew it wouldn't take long fir a v-dub guy to chime in. I like the classic and vintage trailers and motor homes myself. This one puts the two genres together into one.

Saw this and had to share it. VW bus with and old TT on the back. Looks great. Not practical with the lowering kit but like the matching paint in the original TTs colours. Anyone know the owner?

Isn't all HVAC wire supposed to be red no matter the AWG? At least in my jurisdiction for residential installations it is. Just to add more confusion.

I believe if you have the factory electronic brake controller it works better, at least that what I read in my 2011 brochure to make me buy it.

My Coleman tent trailer barely fit through the door of my old garage. I ripped the light, power cord door, and drain cap off the side. DW was a little slow on the warnings. I keep telling myself that.

Re: Looking for first RV
I currently own a North Trail Caliber Edition if you have any questions. Very happy with the quality and features so far.

I bought the 5.0L because it would handle what I wanted to tow and it was the first year for the Ecoboost in the F150. The mpg ratings weren't far apart when I looked at the window sticker either. I do see lots of them on the roads pulling heavy loads though. Only time will tell.

I know Ontario upped the max weights a couple of years ago to align with other provinces and most US states. I'd check with the ministry if transportation or RCMP to get the definitive answer.

Bob34787 have you already purchased the unit? The point may be moot if you've already purchased. If not then you're asking the right questions. Good luck with your purchase.

I think it feels more like a home with the table and chairs. It's more like camping with the dinette as even the smallest tent trailers come with a booth dinette. For now I like the booth for storage and guest quarters. Down the road when the kids are gone I can see wanting the table and chairs...
Perhaps ST tires with their lower speed ratings should be left to low speed trailers hauling hay. Today's RVers are traveling on highways and interstates with HD trucks and the same horsepower and torque as the Peterbuilts and Kenworths hauling 53' vans. The speed rating of the trailer tire...
Take her to the boat and bike shows too. If I take mine even to a dealer we come out with something be it a bike, car, truck or trailer.
We just picked up a 2014 Chevy Cruze for when not towing.

I concur. Many buildings now do annual tighten and torque inspections on all electrical connections in disconnects, panels, switch gear etc. Preliminary exams are often done with infrared cameras to asses the "hot spots" (literally). Weak components and loose connections can be found before...
I forgot to mention that many of today's trucks have built in sway control. Once again it wouldn't hurt to have the sway control and as many gave stated that if you really need it you'll know right away. If whatever system you get us not properly setup and adjusted as well as your load equally...
Depends on you tow vehicle and hitch setup. Many weight distribution hitches have built on sway controls. Even standard setups eliminate sway as the balance the weight between TV and TT. I just have a round bar setup (no sway control added) on my 28BRS which is shorter and lighter and do fine...
Take a look first. Could be something simple. Otherwise you Should be able to buy the motor/blade assembly separate like in a house.

135 posts in a single thread. Does the 1_oldgoat get the record for a non fire arm thread? The pictures look good. The snow looks familiar but I'm in the stick house nice and toasty.

My '11 was second hand and the bar stools were missing. Lots of handy storage there and even a shoe cubby. 2012 went to a mega U dinette and all that handy storage was gone.

I've never heard Nanco tires mentioned on this forum but they have the same reputation on other forums as the Towmax have here. See some posts about Towmax STR which are supposed to be "new and improved". Anyone have experience yet?

I'd like to see Heartland offer "cheap heat" on every product they build. Many of us are always connected to shore power and it would save on propane costs and transportation. Not great for boon docking unless you have a generator.

Brian. Canadian Tire has an induction friendly ceramic coated non stick set for 70% off. Lagostina Blanco. Stainless outside and white ceramic inside.

My spare is under the tongue you and there is plenty of room. I use ratchet straps and python motorcycle cable lock. Just remember the trailer is close to 3' longer when the bumper is pulled out so certain inclined will be harder to negotiate.
Seahawks surprise.

Brian is right about cast iron on the glass top. Although ideal for induction use the owners manual for Samsung stove at home says not to use them on it. Won't take much impact from a pot it pan that solid and heavy to damage it.
Also on the "home" version, many of the burners are auto...
Glad to hear it's working well for you. I never understand why some people think you need a 3/4 ton diesel truck to pull a small to mid sized trailer. Manufacturers are catering to the half ton market now with trailers that compete for size and features in a lighter package. The days of the...
I have a 2011 28BRS built in 2010. If you have questions I might know the answer. There was a couple of changes in 2012 that you'll see on the website now. Watch the weight as the brochure says about 5100 pounds but my loaded Caliber edition left the factory almost 6000 pounds. Check the yellow...
We just got it at the stick and bricks house. Really efficient, fast and safer for the little ones too. Boils water on about a minute and a half. Saves time and electricity. Not sure if the portable ones are as good, but if they are, they are worth the cost.
