If you have 6000lb axles some have had good luck with the Hankook F19...not a mainstream tire but has a good reputation from what I can gather. They are a Korean company. As for those of us with 7000lb axles, not many options!

We had this issue with a previous SOB and that is exactly what I did to fix it. Pushed the rubber down through the tack, cut the point off, and covered it with Eternabond. Seemed to work quite well.

Sorry to hear about the dealer issue. Seems worse in different parts of the country than it is here in the Northwest. Where did you pick it up and could the seller not fix those initial items? Anyway, if you are still having difficulty finding a cooperative dealer close by, in our case...

As John mentioned above, your Bighorn should have a tank flush system intalled. I know with ours, a check valve was installed backwards so the flush system didn't work very well. You might see if that is the case with yours. Also, with our previous rig, I got into the habit of using a Flush...

Saw a Bighorn this afternoon set up at the Fairgrounds in Lynden for what looked like a Good Sams Rally of some kind!

It has dropped a little here ($4.59) but for how long? Bill's $5.00 post is scary!

I tried that once...some young kid showed up in a tow truck (no tools), jacked at the axle (no blocks), and dropped the rig. A real learning experience for me!
