I personally would not tow with it...just seen to much serious damage from blown tires. I would be afraid to take the chance having seen the flaw.

Need info, pictures ect - upgrading cyclone tires and wheels...Not a tire debate

I didn't say it was. Simply just the way it is published in the Sendel catalog with the T02 wheels.

Need info, pictures ect - upgrading cyclone tires and wheels...Not a tire debate

I remember the thread you are referring to but I couldn't find it either. The one thing that stuck in my mind about that conversion was the $550 quoted for each wheel! Probably the most sure-fire option but too pricey for me. Many of the manufacturers use wheels made by Sendel Our Big Country...

    oversize trailer tires

If you are planning on sticking with an ST E rated tire, the Maxxis 10ply MT8008 has a very good track record. I have no experience with Hankook but they have been getting some good press with RV'ers with their F19 tire.

New to forum presently own SOB.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure we will all benefit from your experience and knowledge. One thing that makes this forum so refreshing is no one appears to take on the "weight police" attitude that seems so prevalent on a few other popular forums. Members are here to help each other and learn...

    Fresh water fill question

We seldom carry much water, except enough for the emergency flush, but when I sanitize the tank I do fill it full just as Ken decribes...until it won't take anymore in the fill hole! I have found it necessary to blow the vent free sometimes to aid in the filling process, otherwise it can be slow...

How do I look up a member, if I have their HOC number?

Re: How do I look up a memeber, if I have their HOC number? You could always give us a range of member numbers (e.g. 1230 - 1300) and we can copy/paste a list for you and send in a PM.

How do I look up a member, if I have their HOC number?

Re: How do I look up a memeber, if I have their HOC number? Try saving the file first to your desktop and then open it with Excel or Open Office. I just tried it and it worked fine.

Towing Fifth Wheel in the wind?

We too have encountered some pretty strong winds crossing the Cascades and I was surprised at how stable the rig towed. I don't think I would depart in high winds but I don't believe it is something one needs to worry about encontering along the way unless its severe or becomes uncomfortable. I...

    Issues with my Big Country

Re: BIG Country-BIG MISTAKE I am certainly sorry to hear of your situation. Not that it is of any consequence for you but I do believe it to be the exception and not the rule. Our Big Country has had some issues but we have overall been very pleased with the product. If you haven't done so...

    Outside speaker upgrade cyclone..

Not sure which model Jensen is in the 2009 rigs but if it looks like this one, I circled the three buttons that control the speakers. In our Big Country A is the living area, B is the bedroom and C are the outside speakers. You can select just one area or any combination.

Brain Dead Just about lost my Hitch

I have a stock pin box and the bottom holes do not have bolts...nor would it make any difference if it did as they would be securing nothing that I can see. Could it be an adjustment hole for repositioning the pin box?

    3/4 vs. 1 ton

I would tend to agree with those that suggest hiring someone to tow it for you. We hired an agent to deliver our rig from Ohio to Washington state for around $3000. If you have no real need for continued use of a truck it seems you could better spend that money elsewhere! One thing about the gas...

2012 Big country - repairs and warranty work

Many people have a difficult time finding the "right" dealer with a quality service department. Have you returned your rig to the repair facility to give them the opportunity to "make it right?" As Dave mentioned, many RVers, myself included, prefer to do the repairs we can ourselves. Gives us...

    Tow Max Problems

It was just my feeble attempt at humor having read another post about dealers not doing any work on "stuff" they didn't sell. Didn't mean for anyone to take it seriously! I too have a tire guy willing to put whatever I bring him on my rigs.

    Tow Max Problems

Here is my brand new Goodyear Marathon (previous rig) with only 400 miles on it! It was a 15 inch D rated. Marathons were manufactured in the USA for many years and then moved to China. Some were even made in Canada I think. But...I would definietly take the Maxxis over the Marathon!
