    Replacement batteries

Thanks for the replies from everyone. I did finally, after considering the aforementioned replies, decide. on replacing with 2 group 27 flooded batteries from Interstate where I happened upon a good deal of $100/battery out the door (two for less than the cost of one AGM). My old batteries...

    Towing weight and distribution

Not 100% sure but, I think Fox was referring to carrying the 5 gallons of water for “potty emergencies.” We have 2 one gallon water containers (easier for the DW to handle rather than a large container) that we keep available to use to flush toilet if the need arises. Since we full time in our...

    Replacement batteries

I surrender and must go to the forum for help with selecting new batteries for my BigHorn. I see that according to the dimensions of my current batteries there are several Groups that have similar dimensions so which one is best for my rig? Also, when I search for battery reviews I search for...

Propane leak somewhere in the front of camper 2014 Cyclone

On one side of your rig you have a propane tank and the automatic change over selector/regulator. The auto selector has a lever to change which tank you are currently drawing off of. On the other side of your rig, you will have a tank and a pressure reducing valve, mine were red but that is...

Wash - Wax all in One - or Dragon Juice

I use a waterless cleaning product called WashnWax when on the road. Many CGs don’t allow RV/TV washing. Does a good job on the road grime or routine dust your rig collects over time. Not for heavy mud situation. I have used Cameco’s Wash/Wax solution when I can use water and it does a...

Put ours on cover above burner to diffuse the intense heat and keep from burning bottom of dishes. Don’t know reason for putting it below burner. Maybe the ones asking about your location are just trying to learn from your experience.

Where is switch on trailer to switch from antenna to cable?

If by “booster” you mean a small button that will turn on/off a small red light, that is he antenna booster and when it is on, signals from the roof antenna are passed to the TV BUT will not pass cable signals. By the same token, when the booster is off it will pass signals from the outside...

    Landing Gear switch

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this modification but I have a few of questions. 1. By “the landing gear switch that controls the current to the motor,”. Are you referring to the switch near the pin box that controls the up/down movement of the front jacks? 2. Where did you get the new...

    2018 31BHDD cabinet doors

Not sure if I know exactly what you men by “cabinet doors breaking from shock/hinges.” If you are referring to the hinges pulling away from the cabinet doors because that plastic insert where the screws that hold the hinge to the door are pulling out, there is a simple fix. When those inserts...

    Insurance

Another option with your insurance is “Declared Value.” With replacement cost valuation, as I understand it, your premium will go up each year due to the increase in how much the insurance will have to pay out (increase in value of property insured.). With Declared Value, I set mine at what I...

I have carried an extra set of bearings and the tool set from Harbour Freight since day one. I haven’t needed it on the road yet. I do use the tools when I repack my bearings at our winter home. I really carry the extra bearings in case I would have one go bad at night, or on a weekend, when...

So, for my continuing education and to confirm the reviews I read on their site, if these EZ Start switches are installed on both my A/Cs, I would be able to run both of them on 30 amp shore power, or run one of them on a smaller generator? I gather from the company web site that installing...

REPAIRED: Slide with broken gear tooth

I’m with you Jerrod, I couldn’t see therm either. Even when the inner, moving, tube had extended out so far it dented my J-wrap, it didn’t seem to be out far enough to clear the outer, non-moving, tube to see a roller. Re: Slide with broken gear tooth Dave and Jerrod, thanks for the advice on repair, I certainly will pay attention to the points you make. First, as was suggested, I think I remember the teeth not being exactly centered so that may have been the cause of the broken gear tooth. What I don’t...
