Bighorn - Coax issues (Problem found)

Re: ATF: Bighorn - Coax issues If your BH is like ours, the LR TV is in the kitchen slide. Go under the slide and gently open those black plastic wire/cable protection sleeves until you find the one that encloses the Sat/OTA cables. Follow that sleave back to where it exits the frame and undo...

cold air coming from floor vents

Kathi, are you getting the cold air flow when the furnace is completely shut down? When our furnace first kicks on, the fan, no flame yet, runs for approximately 45 seconds and then flame ignition occurs and air is heated and moved through the vents. After the set temperature is reached, the...

If it is broken teeth on the cog gear, replacement gears can be found on Amazon. That’s where I got mine and over night shipping was available. Need to know how many teeth on the gear as there are apparently two different styles.

2nd Time to replace LP regulator

Sorry Fast, just now getting back to the forum after being away for a few days...surgery on Wed. The item Bill posted looks similar to the one I have but doesn’t connect right at the tank. It has been a couple of years since I installed mine and don’t remember if it came with a connector and...

Condensation inside on the bedroom slide at the bottom

Tammie, check at the bottom, inside and out, of your window frame for the small horizontal slits. If they are blocked, or have been smashed closed, then water in the window channels can not drain to the outside. It is possible that the moisture from condensation on your windows is overflowing...

2nd Time to replace LP regulator

If the regulator you are referring to looks like those posted by Marc, I have another suggestion for its replacement. I, like you, had to change this regulator on both of our rigs. When the regulator went out on the BH, nobody locally had one in stock and I had no time to wait for one to be...

    Texas Sweetheart Rally on Pause

Jay, it’s not only rallies but any long term stay. We have an extremely hard time finding a park near our son in Ft. Worth that will give us a reservation for the 6-8 weeks we want to stay there. The usual excuse is they have all the long term sites filled with workers and only have short term...

    General Question

Michael, we are, and have for the past 7 years, wintering near Biloxi. As Dan mentioned above, I cleared the water line for the ice maker as the temps usually get their coldest during Jan/Feb and that line is fairly exposed. You will have colder temps in St. Louis area but can get some...

ATF: North Trail - low gas flow

water found in pot drawer under refrigerator

Living Room Slide 'popped' and now won't travel straight.

For those of you that are having “popping” issues when you operate your slides, be sure to check the cogs because they may have missing or broken. Ours had been doing something similar pretty much since it was new in 2015. This year, while setting up, of course in the rain, in Watkins Glen...

Using Shore power while in storage.

Have you thought about installing a battery blanket (heating pad) to keep the battery from freezing since you have shore power available? We used them during the 3 years I was stationed at Fort Wainwight in Fairbanks, AK. Never had problem with battery freezing up and the power draw is minimal.

    Furnace propane consumption

Unless you check at least once a day EVERY day. That’s what I do and have never run completely out of gas at any time of the day or night. If you only run off one tank at a time, don’t you have to get up “at 3 AM when it’s 10 below zero” to open the other tank when that one runs out?

    AC inside temp wrong

First, never run A/C on low fan, use Auto or High fan speed, especially in high humidity situations because low speed will cause unit to freeze up. Pull inside cover to look at condenser fins, if you see ice... frozen up. Turn off and let thaw then follow fan speeds noted above. Not sure if...

    Levelup going Bonkers!

Thanks for the assist Dave. Roadjunkie, you don’t need to drop the coroplast, I found my sensor by loosening along the side and, using a broom handle, pushed down the insulation enough to see the sensor laying there. The sensor sits on a small shelf area on one of the cross beams either in...

My BH did the same as the OP, however, I kept manually resetting level and re-zeroing which would work for a time or two and then go crazy. As Dave suggested, my rear sensor had come loose and was laying on the coroplast. Smooth roads = OK, rough roads = reset. Returned sensor to original...
