    Note from a friend

Like. A lot. That verse also tells us three things God cannot do. He cannot love you more than he already does. He can not give you more than he already has. He can not make it easier than he's already made it. Thanks for sharing.

How to manually operate slide on 33TBUDS?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. The coroplast (underbelly sheeting) is only between the I-beams. The 3/4" hole is on the I-beam side (web) that faces the curb side.

How to manually operate slide on 33TBUDS?

I have a different model, but mine is just in front of the rear steps through a hole in the frame (curb side).

    Heartland northtrail 25 ft rl

Don, I have the same model/yr. as you. I had some leaks around the baggage doors. Check very carefully to see if yours leak. If so, I can detail a very simple repair procedure to stop it. Perhaps it is leaking somewhere else. I also installed a fantastic fan to replace the wimpy bathroom fan...

Installing items on walls - towel bars. TV mounts, etc.

The towel bar and coat hook are no problem, but the weight of a 32" TV hanging on a flimsy wall while bouncing down the highway spells disaster to me. I suppose one could use a backer plate of some type, but that still doesn't strengthen the wall. Other choices?

    oven pilot mod for lighting

Good idea. Thanks for sharing. I always thought of doing the BBQ mod but never got around to it. Why? Because my wife always lights the oven!

    Champion Generator question?

The voltage range is not outside normal limits, however, the fluctuation within the range is hard on inductive loads (motors, compressors, etc.). Your voltage regulator is suspect. Call Champion. Their customer service is very good, IMO.

    Good Luck Mike!

Hey Mike, I have prayed for you. Having gone through this myself, I know the rehab can be tough. Improvements through the first week are exponential, though. Three years later I have no regrets!

Suburban oven will not keep pilot flame on

I would check to make sure the pilot light is adjusted correctly so that it is flaming the capillary tube sensor from the gas valve. Ours was doing the same thing as yours and this corrected it. It was just a very quick adjustment.

Solved: No hot water using electric

Making secure (electrically/mechanically) connections in wiring is basic...and crucial. It is also simple. When 'in the business' I had no toleration for my electricians who could not perform this basic task. Why? Look at the picture above. No excuses. I'm just glad you found this before the...

That's a lot of real estate in the rearview mirror in a short amount of time. I recently flew a Socata TBM850. Nice ship. Great avs. It's a scooter, too...but not nearly as fast as the X.

Sorry. Not even close. I believe the Cit. 10 is over 70 feet long and nearly 20 feet high. They are a beast--wingspan about the same as length...but the thought sure sounds cool!

Wide Trax suspension Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Having pulled standard tandems for 10's of thousands of miles, and a wide-track for over 20,000 I can't really tell the difference in ride smoothness. I think there might be less sway though. The noise you hear during sharp turns comes from binding gear. The torqued and slide of the tires are...

    Interior Ceiling Lights Problem

Bill, it sounds like a defective switch or supply to the pair. Resistance builds up heat--which opens the circuit--then cools down and closes. I would change it before it gets too hot. Ideally, the fuse should protect the wire from overload, but loose connections can be dangerous. If not the...

    No Shore Power

I agree. It sounds a lot like a transfer switch to me. As scottyb said, check the power cord first, then hone in on the xfer switch. Mark

So what are your temperature limits for camping in your trailer?

Hi LeisureTime, While it is easily possible to use RV's at temps much below freezing, one must take some special precautions. We added some insulation to the underbelly, heat-taped hose and water lines, added supplemental electric heat, and stayed for over 3 months at temps below zero. For those...

Problem Emptying Black Tank on North Trail 24RBS

We use a Flush King as well. It does a good job of removing waste that otherwise sits in the tank. I think we paid around $25-$30 for ours on Amazon.

ATF: North Country - 3 water Problems - Are they connected somehow

Your water intrusion in the front cargo space may be from inadequate seals around the doors. I used 3/16 or 1/4" oxygen hose and cut it to fit in behind the weatherstripping on the top and two sides. All this does is to raise the profile of the weatherstripping so it makes good contact with the...

    2010 Heartland North Trail 31RLSS

Our Ford Excursion with a 7.3 diesel will pull that weight easily. However, finding one in good condition might be a little difficult. Like others said, a four-door pickup will give SUV spaciousness with hauling capacity. Glad you like your North Trail.

    Outside shower

We disconnected ours because it broke loose at 2 in the morning, not because we've had any delam issues. The dangling stubs of hot/cold lines drain fine in the winter. We use ours in the winter so I'm glad the outside shower is gone now. One less thing to freeze.

Interesting 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC problem

Great job of trouble shooting. Your analysis makes sense to me...especially since you made a fix that worked. The expansion and contraction from the loose fuse holder builds up heat, sparks, then opens, then cools, then closes. This, with the intermittent cycling of the compressor could...

Nice work, justafordguy! It no longer looks like the waiting room of a funeral home (like mine)! Someone sure did some nice work on the cushions, valances, and decorating. I hope Mrs. ruralpastor doesn't see this, or I'll be having me another job.
